Almost everything said is some attempt at wit and humor but falls terribly short. The mass amounts of pop culture reference and sarcastic replies really drags it down. Many of the choices are a result of random exclamations that don't describe what's going on until you select between 'What's wrong' or 'Everything ok?' Take out the useless choices and there isn't much substance here. Quite an annoying read. ### 3/5 — It's okay *2024-05-21, version 1.4* A lot of choices didn't matter. Lifeline 1 was the best in the series in my opinion. Like another similar phone interactive game series, Simulacra, the first one has all the charm and the most coherent writing which then falls by the wayside for the rest of the series. But it wasn't all that bad. Many times throughout the story I was tearing up quite a bit and it really pulled me deep into the story when it came to some parts. Again, what I really enjoy about the Lifeline series is that when the character you're speaking to goes to sleep or walks a long way, you're actually waiting for them for a realistic amount of time. Which is something not everyone might enjoy, but to me waiting 8 hours for Arika to wake up or waiting 10 hours for her to get somehwere just gives this awesome realistic feeling about the story. Also you can actually tell her your real name, or really any name or nickname you like, and she will actually call you that at times! Once again there are multiple endings to this one, so your decisions really do matter at some points, which makes it ever so exciting and rewarding to get to the good ending without any guides and so on. 11/10 without any hesitation! ### 5/5 — Fantastique *2023-04-03, version 1.4* Quel plaisir de suivre Arika dans toutes ces péripéties ! It was a wild ride and an incredible story that just pulls you in like nothing else. I found myself actually worried about Arika as if I was actually magically connected with another person, and the game left me constantly thinking about it. I felt a genuine bond with Taylor and V. Adams. I admired them and wanted to protect them. Communications with Arika, in contrast, feel like a dysfunctional relationship with a stereotypical mother-in-law: endless complaints and criticisms. ### 1/5 — Glitch *2021-08-25, version 1.4* Glitchy on my 12 Pro Max and Apple Watch. The app sent an alert to my watch, but when I opened it, it reset the game to the beginning. When the character asks what my name is on my watch, the game closes each time I try to enter it.
