### 3/5 — Too much exposition + copaganda

*2024-12-26*

I’ve played all the Lifeline games other than Flatline and this is my least favorite. The main character, Alex, is a detective. He spends half the game telling you about his favorite spots in Austin, and the other half of the game explaining how hard his life is as a cop. Boo hoo, poor Alex. He’s also not a good detective; half the questions he wants to ask have nothing to do with anything, the decisions he makes even after you give advice don’t conform to what a believable detective would do, and he spends more time talking about tacos than suspects. Also, I didn’t want to play a game that acts as a tourist board advertisement for Austin. Honestly, just nowhere near as compelling as any of the other Lifeline games, and really annoying a lot of the time.

### 3/5 — Good, but theres a small issue…

*2023-03-23*

The game seems to be delaying, so i close out of it, open again, (and it sometimes has me redo one of my answers again) and it might or might not stop delaying, im not talking about the realistic-ness of the time frame, im talking about the fact that it seems to have a glitch. And sometimes it comes up with an empty page, and then may also take time to load. Which leads me to using fast mode, story line is so good so far!
Also a repeat in the story line I’ve noticed.

### 3/5 — Bloquée sans arrêt au même endroit.

*2022-05-23*

### 3/5 — Just okay

*2020-11-02, version 1.0.0*

It was fun to play. Wasn’t sure how long 99 cents would get me. My issue is no matter how many endings different endings you completed, you were always rated low.

### 3/5 — Too short

*2019-12-31, version 1.0.0*

Only one story. They need to add a lot more. It’s fun but not long enough.

### 4/5 — Interesting, amazing

*2019-05-29*

Although this may be a phone application game, that is the last thing it feels like. You play a Crisis Line listener. Alex is the main character you talk to; he’s a police detective that takes you on the case he’s currently working. I’ve found myself emotionally invested in his story, as well as the actions and decisions he makes. The only problem I have with the game is that I wish there were more options for things to say back to Alex. Nonetheless, I always find myself just checking my phone waiting for his reply. It feels like you’re actually talking to this person. It will definitely leave you on the edge of your seat if you’re someone like me, interested in crime/the paranormal.

### 3/5 — Sometimes frustrating

*2019-05-15, version 1.0.0*

Sometimes the options it gives you are super limiting and frustraing and the path ends for seemingly no reason. The other annoying thing is that there aren’t any remotely halpy endings. I have played every single lifeline in the series and it always ends terrible, which makes the player feel like it was all a waste of time.

Still, I give it three stars for being interesting and spooky.

### 3/5 — Boring

*2019-03-21, version 1.0.0*

I did the first play and slightly enjoyed it . I finished the story and wanted more but I was let down. There only ONE story . With the same character and plot line. Boring and not worth the price. Well the games fun but it should have another story to do or the same story but another characters view

### 4/5 — scrolling problems

*2019-02-23*

I loved all the lifelines! I played them all and I never had a problem with any of them. But I have to say that crisisline is kinda annoying me. My only problem with this game is the scrolling. Whenever I’m reading one of Alex’s text and he’s sending me something my screen jumps to his most recent message. Even if I’m holding down on the text that I was trying to read it still jumps all the way down until he finally stops. It makes it hard and annoying when I’m trying to read his texts. I have to wait till he’s done writing 1000 consecutive texts so I can start on the first one. I don’t know about the other players but I can’t read at lightspeed and I would really love it if the next game could let me scroll up while the character is still talking (like in all the other games). I love the story so far, I highly doubt that It will change by the time I finish it, but if you rage like me when it comes to being in control of your screen then maybe try the other lifelines (they don’t have this problem and they all have amazing stories). So to conclude, the game has me hooked but scrolling while the game is in progress can be annoying (still worth playing)

### 4/5 — Lots to love but a bit frustrating

*2019-02-08*

I really enjoyed the general game play, but there were some frustrating moments. Alex died twice in the early game, requiring me to replay (boringly) the long introduction twice before I happened upon the choices which kept him alive. I almost gave it away at this point. I’m not a dunce, but there was really no way of guessing which was the right choice to make.
That said, the rest of the game was engaging and enjoyable, especially for the price. I will continue to explore the Lifeline game range.

### 2/5 — I need help

*2019-01-15, version 1.0.0*

Is it only one story? I just got it and finished the one with Alex and when I hit more lifetime it takes me to a website. Is it really only one story? For $1.99?

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Ten minute game?

*2026-03-18, version 1.0.0*

I was excited for this, thinking I was getting a game. It would up being ten minutes? If that. Zero actual choices. Worst waste of time ever. The main character monologues most of the time and you get maybe 15 words in edgewise.

### 1/5 — Meh

*2022-12-24, version 1.0.0*

Crashes A LOT and difficult to stop the game from ending too soon. There only seem to be so many paths and you keep getting forced into poor choices.

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2020-01-18, version 1.0.0*

The content is okay to start with. Entertaining enough for about 30 minutes or so. Definitely not worth spend $1.99 on though. There is only one story and you can run through that in no time. And no matter what you choose the outcome is pretty much always the same. Very disappointing.

### 1/5 — I want my money back!!!!

*2020-01-14, version 1.0.0*

Content was OK fun at first but no matter how many times you change the story and your answers the game in the same way only one scenario comes with it cannot download any more, would not waste my money

### 1/5 — Randomly reset itself

*2020-01-02, version 1.0.0*

Was really enjoying this game until it reset to the beginning of the story randomly. Frustrated - not clicking through all that again.

### 1/5 — I did every option and he died in first 5 minutes

*2019-04-05, version 1.0.0*

I followed every path and he died in the first part of the story. It makes no sense. Total waste of money.

### 1/5 — Lifeline: Crisis line

*2019-04-01, version 1.0.0*

What kind of game is this, I paid to play a game, not to be texting a game. I would like my money back.

### 1/5 — DO NOT BUY 4 A Watch NOT SUPPORTED

*2018-12-30*

I bought this yesterday and it installed on my phone just fine. I cannot get it to show up on my Apple Watch. I eventually went to technical support and got a notice saying “goodbye” and that everything will be removed in November from stores. It is December and they are still taking my money? I want my money back!

### 1/5 — It’s dumb

*2018-12-16, version 1.0.0*

There’s only one story and you’d think for a $1.99 you’d get more then one, text was also to fast for me to read and it was jerky when I scrolled up to read something I haven’t ready yet. If I could go back in time I wouldn’t have bought it. It’s lame. And a waste of a $1.99 in my opinion.

### 1/5 — Ich weiss ja nicht...

*2018-03-10*

Egal was ich eintippe, der Typ geht binnen kürzester Zeit irgendwie flöten 😅

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Интересно

*2025-12-22*

### 5/5 — One of the best

*2020-09-04, version 1.0.0*

I’m a huge fan of the Lifeline games and remember buying each one as they came out... I still have my Lifeline t-shirt. This was one of my favorites of the games. I wish we could see more to the Lifeline series, the cliffhangers on all of them are really sad... Maybe one day the series will get a revival, like its older games, and not some weird app where you need to pay to make certain choices...

### 5/5 — great.

*2020-05-01*

One of the better lifelines. More involved, and decision during the game certainly do make a difference.

### 5/5 — meinerita

*2020-04-29*

Игра очень захватывающая!А под конец я настолько сроднилась с главным героем ,что было очень жалко,что игра закончилась!С нетерпением ждём ее продолжения!

### 5/5 — Love this Story! Could be real!

*2020-01-16*

Although all the stories are amazing and I love these games ( I bought them all and played many more than 1 time ). I like the fact that this one is in a real setting that we could live and can litterally Google the stuff that they are talking about ! It’s really immersive and I LOVE IT 💖

### 5/5 — Great game

*2019-10-24, version 1.0.0*

I love this game so much it’s so much fun!!
This is the exact game I think is worth the cost!! The story line is amazing. Is there any chance there is a hint thing or a cheat vid if your stuck because i can’t get passed the Person corporation without him dying or being hypnotized!! Anyways like i said before I love this game those looking to download it definitely should, see if you are smarter than I am😂😂

### 5/5 — Mind bender

*2019-08-10, version 1.0.0*

Thank you to the creators of this adventure.

### 5/5 — I’m still not done...

*2019-05-11, version 1.0.0*

I’ve not finished the game but for a choose your own adventure game, this is the best I’ve ever gone through. In many ways have I found myself empathizing with Alex, wanting badly to solve this problem. But all I can say currently?

....[im sorry]
[sorry]
[sorry]
[sorry]
.…………..........[Alex is sorry]

### 5/5 — I LOVE THIS WHOLE SERIES SO MUCH!!!!

*2018-12-08*

... Title says it all, please create more soon! I do keep checking... It’s so engrossing, I love everything about it! 😁
