It ends up feeling like a trailer for a game rather than an actual full-length one. This is basically a filler episode. ### 4/5 — A directory would be handy *2025-06-30, version 2.1* I played the first one, and it was pretty creepy… or at least I think it was the first. Now I’m playing others and am frustrated that I don't know their logical order. I’m playing two at once now that I’ve lost them. ### 3/5 — Flawed Sequel *2024-06-26, version 2.1* I can only imagine how difficult writing choose your adventure games can be given you have to account for so much. But whereas Lifeline and Lifeline 2 account for it very well, this game does not. I've played it before a long time ago, and having done things a little differently than that play through I'm noticing that you can miss and entire chunk of the game that gives meaningful story details. Now, this would be okay if the rest of the game reflected that you missed it, but this game does not. At a certain point near the end of the story the characters act like that chunk of the story happened even though in my play through this time around did not. Did everything right right, up until the very last choice where I messed up and got the worst ending. Back up to just that choice on a gamble and turns out thats the best possible ending, so pog I guess. Not a lot of explanation for the end, but leaves a lot of room for a sequel. Maybe book. Who knows. The thing is that no matter which "way" you take to reach some future conversation with someone, no matter what you have done before the conversation, it remains basically the same, or makes no sense at all in some parts. I won't spoil anything, but one conversation specifically just really got me when it basically talked about something that hadn't happened (which was correct), but then suddenly twisted the same way as if it had happened. Yeah, sounds weird said like this, but the point is that simply the story sometimes doesn't necessarily follow up with what you've actually done and haven't done. Having said this, I need to say that generally speaking this game is awesome and I like the story even more than the first one from Taylor's series. Yet still I have to rate it only 4/5 because of the little problem with story continuity. It's definitely not huge, but it certainly is noticeable. ### 4/5 — Good, but painfully slow *2023-06-29, version 2.0* I played the first lifeline and of course, as lifeline players do, had to download the sequel. BUT WHERE IS THE FAST MODE??? this one is just painfully slow to play through because 20% of the game is taylors dialogue, the other is just WAITING for her to do SOMETHING. i cant do it anymore 😂 ### 4/5 — Great game *2023-06-27, version 2.0* Great writing. Absolutely love this series so far. I have a very busy/stressful life and don’t have the luxury of picking my own gaming time and was worried that I would miss more of the game than I would play but it waits for you to respond thankfully. I am not a fan of the duration between messages but it’s an interesting mechanic. Taylor was at the point where she was hiding in the cargo hold as Donald came in with the others. I told her to be quiet. Then while I was waiting for her to come online I went to my cellphone version to check the map (which isn’t available on the watch app) and found that it hadn’t been syncing since the start. When I went back to my watch to find if Taylor was back I found the watch had synced with my cellphone and the story was back at the start! As much as I have been enjoying the story I just don’t think I can be bothered to sit through all the waits again to get up to the point I was at. Bis jetzt gefällt es mir sehr gut. If you are a player that has not yet played the original, I would highly suggest playing through it in November, then in December or January play this! The soundtrack is so good and eerie, which helps build the tension as you navigate the ship to help Taylor escape.
