## What is Lifetree?

Every living thing is family. Lifetree makes that history easy to explore, with 1,124 illustrated branches of life, from bacteria to blue whales, plus dedicated Dogs, Cats and Humans exhibits.

EXPLORE THE TREE
Follow a circular tree or wander a family chart. Expand branches one level at a time, search for hidden entries, filter extinct groups and explore in full screen. Pinch to zoom, drag to move, and open a branch or species to find its place in the story.

DOGS, CATS AND HUMANS
Explore 109 additional listings covering dog and cat breeds, early humans and their relatives. Read the sources and uncertainty notes: breed clusters are not definite ancestry, and relationships between extinct human groups remain uncertain.

HOW RELATED ARE WE?
Choose two tree-of-life entries to see their common ancestor, an estimated split date, and that moment on a calendar that fits life's history into one year. Fossil entries include approximate occurrence dates.

LOOK CLOSER
Read concise facts, see animated illustrations and follow lineages and sources. Dates are rounded estimates. This is a curated educational model rather than a complete catalogue of every species.

MADE FOR IPHONE AND IPAD
Choose Light, Dark or your device's appearance. Explore offline, with all content included in the app.

Lifetree is free, with no ads, account, tracking, subscriptions or in-app purchases.
