### 5/5 — Best Lifting App, Dev Actually Listens to Feedback, Download now. Minor bug with workout to plan.

*2026-09-16*

I love when a dev makes their app amazing. I would maybe pay a little bit for this app if I had to. Really the best lifting app out there. Thanks a ton Developer.

One thing, transferring over a workout to a plan changes all the weights to the top set weight. Other than that, fantastic.

Old Review:

I got to a very serious gym which has lots of niche equipment. I'm not able to just write "Lat Pulldown" and I would prefer the even put the full commercial name of the piece written by the manufacturer. I left the app and it deleted my whole template.

It would be great if it didn't do that. But also it would be great if I could put a picture of the equipment too, so I don't have to lookup the name and company when I get confused about what piece it is, when I am at home. And I need to be able to switch from lbs to kgs because my gym has certain equipment and plates that are only kg and it would make it a lot easier if I didn't have to do the conversion manually every time.

Other than that, I really like this app. Easy to use, has RPE, makes warmup sets for you with a quick calculation button inside your exercise (no moving across the app for that feature), and doesn't have 800 BS workouts or make you sign up like a different app that sucks (HEVY).

That being said it needs 3 crucial things.

1. The ability to chart half reps and make notes for a single set.

2. The ability to easily make templates with commercial equipment (without it deleting your progress mid-template because you were looking up your gyms niche—but also third—lat pulldown variant machine). I want to be able to set a small picture of that equipment too or be able to submit one that came from the manufacturers website.

3. Be able to switch from lbs to kgs for certain pieces or just mid exercise. Some machines I use come from Europe and Asia and don't even have a lb sticker and make me have to make that conversion itself.

Doesn't need but would be great to have:

4. Lift timer with dynamic resting. So if I need an extra 30 seconds or a minute, I would like to be able to see that. Along with the lift timer, I would like to be able to chart HOW I lifted it (drag reps, pause reps, etc.).

Once it gets those things, I don't see any reason at all I would ever use the top rated lifting apps. Those apps are all junky and then this app is just a few features/changes away to being the best app you can download. Great UI, meaningful notifications.

When it gets those features I will recommend this app to everyone in my gym and change my review, guaranteed.

**Developer response:** **Update**
everything on your list is in 2.9, live now. Templates autosave. Per-set notes and partial reps. Per-exercise kg/lb toggle. Photos on any exercise. +30s / +1m on the rest timer. Pause, tempo, cluster and drop set tags per set.

We appreciate your feedback and we want you to know real feedback gets built. You said you'd update the review once it landed. It landed.

Let me know if anything seems off, james@lfthvy.app.

Thanks for writing this up in detail. Losing your template when you left the app is a bug, not a design choice, and it's the first thing I'm fixing. Templates should autosave every edit.

On the rest: per-set notes and a per-exercise lbs/kg toggle are small and I'm putting them next. Custom exercise photos and rep-style tagging (pause, half, drag) are bigger changes and I want to do them right rather than fast, so no date yet. Dynamic rest extension on the timer is on the list too.

We are a small team and we build off feedback like this. If you email me at James@lfthvy.app. I'll let you know when each of these lands, and I'd take a photo of that lat pulldown variant if you want to send it.

### 5/5 — Just what I’ve been looking for!

*2026-03-04*

This app is so user-friendly and I love the templates! As someone who historically has tracked workouts in the notes app, this is a game changer!

**Developer response:** Love that! The notes app grind is real. Glad Lift Heavy could level that up for you. More updates coming soon!

### 5/5 — No subscription fees!

*2026-01-30*

I was a little hesitant due to the lack of reviews, but this is just what I was looking for and love having no fees!

**Developer response:** Totally understand the hesitation -- appreciate you giving it a shot! The no-fee model is intentional. Enjoy the app!

### 5/5 — Seek and ye shall find!

*2026-01-23*

I had been looking for an app that is user friendly and tailored specifically to track lifting, and BAM!
My prayers were answered ! God is good!
If you want an easy app to use look no further!

**Developer response:** This made my day! Really appreciate the kind words. More features on the way, stay tuned!

### 5/5 — Love the calculators

*2026-01-23*

I love the 1 rep max and other calculators on this app. I’m getting older in life and 1 rep max is no longer a smart bet for me (honestly though I’m not sure it ever was). But, using these calculators, I’m able to use light or heavy weights and still track gains across a bunch of lifts.

**Developer response:** This is exactly why I built those calculators. Train smart, track progress, no ego lifting required. More calculator features in the pipeline!
