### 5/5 — Everything I need and want

*2025-02-25*

I used the five3one app for a long time but it had a few things missing that I wanted, such as easier on the fly workouts. This app has all of that and more and allows you to buy the full app without a subscription. Couldn’t be happier!

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review and support. We are glad you like our Lift4Fit workout app.

### 5/5 — Voll zufrieden

*2024-12-09, version 1.1.67*

Endlich eine App gefunden die meinen Ansprüchen entspricht einfache Bedienung sowie intuitiv

### 5/5 — Great 5/3/1 App

*2024-11-13, version 1.1.65*

I use this app for the 5/3/1 workouts and it’s amazing. It also has other workout templates built-in depending on your needs. The developer is also very responsive if you have any requests or questions.

### 5/5 — Great add to the 5/3/1 app

*2023-10-27*

Great app with more options than the original 5/3/1 app. I have several years of 5/3/1 workout log data and I haven’t figured out how to merge or share my 5/3/1 app logs with the Lift4Fit app yet. If it’s not possible then I would suggest this be developed as an option. Otherwise, perfect app!

### 4/5 — Lost some things I liked.

*2023-03-29*

I liked the charting in the previous app better. Also would like to see and export to csv option like the old app. I’d give it 5 stars if those two things were addressed.

### 4/5 — Very useful

*2023-03-20, version 1.1.30*

It’s a good app, really handy for knowing what you need to lift on a day as well as seeing how many reps for a pb. Only grievance is it updates the training max mid cycle based on this new pb which isn’t always what I want.

### 5/5 — Great 5/3/1 tracker

*2023-01-25, version 1.1.23*

Having downloaded and tested all the 5/3/1 apps i settled on this one for the following reasons a) can add accessory exercises AND adjust reps and weight for individual sets b) tells you target reps to beat 1RM c) can change date of logged workouts (though would be good to be able to do this when initially entering)

### 5/5 — Advanced, but does everything you could want

*2022-09-13*

Ever since I started lifting I liked to track it with an app during each workout. My starter program was StrongLifts and I really liked how the app worked. After moving on to 531, I got the other 531 app by this developer. I liked how that one worked as well. Later, I found this one, and it’s much more customizable than the others. I’ve added two full custom programs based on some other programs. It takes a while to do and to know how everything works, but it does a great job.

### 4/5 — Great app except? How do you adjust the rest timer?

*2022-08-28*

I’m using it for the Wendler program but I can’t figure out how to adjust the rest time

**Developer response:** When the timer is running, tap the timer icon, set "Apply rest time to all sets", and select a new time.

### 5/5 — Tried other: This is the best

*2022-08-26*

I’ve been using multiple of these apps to do the 5-3-1 workout and this one is by far the easiest to alter (think rests and added lift. Don’t alter the program.) and use. It’s nice that it shows how many times you’ll have to do your lift to beat your 1RM.

### 4/5 — Very good

*2022-05-31*

App is very good. I’ve used it for about two months and it’s helped me stay on track. Only wish the data could be visualized differently. Right now every chart of my lift history looks exactly the same and doesn’t provide much insight.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Crashes all the time

*2024-12-15, version 1.1.67*

Crashes alot if I leave it to do anything else. Then the whole workout is lost. Very frustrating especially for how much you pay a month. Better off to use your note pad for free :(

### 1/5 — Re-purchase pro version

*2024-02-15*

I’ve had to re-purchase the pro version of the app twice after a full data reset. It makes no sense to have to re-purchase the pro version after a data reset.

**Developer response:** Hi, To the best of my knowledge, Apple does not allow purchasing the same in-app feature multiple times.
Could you please send your purchase receipts?

### 1/5 — Gotten worse

*2023-12-02*

Avoid: if you customize, it doesnt work. You get weird reps and weights that you didnt program. And it gets the warm up and main sets messed up
AVOID THIS. FIND A DIFFERENT APP THAT ACTUALLY WORKS THE WAY IT SHOULD

**Developer response:** Hi,

Thank you for your review. Could you please provide us with more details regarding the specific irritations you mentioned? This will help us make necessary improvements and ensure a better user experience for you and others. Please use the "App," "Settings," "Contact," or "Bug Report" feature to provide the details.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2022-07-12, version 1.1.15*

Just use the Five3One app by the same developer, this is awful to use in comparison. Bad lay out, bad to use, and frustrating in comparison to the other app.

### 2/5 — Full of bugs

*2024-06-28*

When it works it’s great. I find that it has some weird bugs and some of the features don’t work. For example if you program an exercise to increase by a certain amount every cycle, there is a field for that but it doesn’t increment the weight. The worst part is it’s consistent, some features work for some exercises but not others. I will say that the customer service is good and they are responsive.

**Developer response:** Hi,

Some 5/3/1 variations have a condition to increase the TM. Is it possible that this setting is on? Please send an email/bug report with the bugs you've encountered, and I'll look into them.

### 2/5 — Okay

*2023-05-22*

Irritations may trump positives.

### 2/5 — Not really free to make templates

*2021-12-04*

This app lets you use the premium features for 16 days and then reverts to non-premium. One of the major features locked behind the premium features is custom templates. No point even starting with this app unless you plan on subscribing to their premium version.

**Developer response:** The app offers subscription and one-off purchases.

### 3/5 — Works but could improve a lot

*2024-09-05, version 1.1.61*

Works okay so far. For a week now, burnt calories don’t get added to Apple fitness move stats anymore. Watch integration is lacklustre at best. I constantly have to sync between watch and iPhone app to keep track of sets. It just doesn’t work on both devices at the same time. Weights used in my last workout don’t get saved and I have to check my history and reapply weights every. single. workout. I don’t really get the reasoning behind this as it would be so much more comfortable to just track the last used reps and weights instead of resetting it to 0.
Again, overall it’s okay-ish but I will probably look for better alternatives before paying.

### 4/5 — Boring but Big

*2023-12-17, version 1.1.48*

Not bad, but need ability to add opposing Boring But Big lifts - eg on Squat day have Boring but big press. Used to be able to do this on the old 531 app

### 4/5 — Great app - just dont update to IOS17 while using

*2023-09-21*

Ive used this app since starting 531 a year ago and have made great progress. A slight learning curve to learn all the absolute ins/outs to cater to your own modifications of each program. Do not upgrade to IOS 17 if you plan on using it, while editing the weights it slightly blocks the view of the numbers which can frustrate you.
