### 3/5 — Affordable

*2026-06-16*

Haven’t used much so not sure how good the app is, but its definitely affordable compared to others out there.
An advise for the developers - when trying to add an exercise in a program, the search only matches the text with the exercise name rather it should try to match both exercise name and muscle group. For example if I type Abs it will be much user friendly if I get a list with all workouts available for abdominal as well as the exercises like Ab Crunch Machine. Right now I get only 1 exercise suggestion because rest all abs workouts go by the name something like Crunches.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into adding this improvement to search.

If any other feedback comes to mind just let me know at feedback@liftinapp.co. Always looking for new ways to improve!

### 5/5 — As simple as you want.

*2026-05-17, version 51.2*

This is the one you want. Simple for anyone to get started and gets as complex as you could want. Also, respects your privacy with constant updates from a responsive developer. It’s worth the lifetime purchase, for sure.

### 5/5 — Perfect for all Lifters!

*2026-05-16*

Liftin’ App has truly transformed my fitness journey. The user-friendly interface makes tracking workouts a breeze and the extensive exercise library ensures I never run out of ideas. The progress charts are motivating and easy to navigate. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned lifter, this app is a must-have for anyone serious about their fitness goals. You can customise and tweak so much or simply stick to the basics. It’s perfect for both. The lock screen widget is the cherry on top!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review!

Glad to hear that you like Liftin’ and its design. If any feedback comes to mind please reach out to feedback@liftinapp.co. Always looking for ways to improve!

### 5/5 — One of the Best

*2026-05-14, version 51.0*

I’ve tried many workout apps. Paid and free. This one has all the features of top tier apps without the top tier fee. It’s actually very versatile. You can add exercises and equipment. The in-workout functionality is extremely well designed. There’s progression options and deloads for failures that are customizable. The developer is very responsive thru the feedback option in the app. You can tell they are invested in the success.

### 5/5 — 10 years and counting

*2026-05-12, version 51.0*

Been using Liftin’ for ten years now. Perfect gym companion for iPhone and watch. Updated frequently. Def recommend.

### 5/5 — Best weight training app

*2026-05-11, version 51.0*

By far the best weight training app. The Mac OS App is great and functions just as you think it would. It is easy to make a program and syncs to iPhone and Apple Watch which is amazing.

### 5/5 — Bar none, the best strength training app

*2026-05-11, version 51.0*

This dev continuously improved his app year after year, month after month. From UI, to function, Apple Watch app. He’s absolutely killing it.

### 5/5 — Truly the BEST workout tracking app

*2026-05-07, version 50.5*

I rarely leave reviews for apps, but this app is an absolute beast when it comes to the flexibility in training options that the various features and settings provide, combined with the truly bargain price it’s currently available for (especially compared to other apps that charge a lot more for a lot less). If you’re looking for a workout tracking app you must give this a try

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2026-05-05, version 50.5*

An excellent app, and developer makes frequent updates and responds to submitted suggestions. Lots of
Flexibility in the app and one of the few that gives a lot of customisability and creating own exercises. Tried they others such as Hevy and Strong, but kept this one as more intuitive and can do lots directly on the watch.

### 5/5 — Best workout tracker on Apple Watch, and iPhone

*2026-05-01, version 50.3*

By far the best workout tracker on Apple Watch and iPhone. It is simple, easy to make workouts, and it’s an indie app. I have tried many workout apps, such as bevel, and smart gym, but none could compare to the simplicity and features as Liftin. It’s cheap, easy to use, and it’s overall a great app

### 5/5 — Perfect weightlifting tracker

*2026-04-22, version 49.2*

I’ve been using Liftin for 2 years and it does exactly what I need. I use the Apple Watch app and leave my phone behind. The watch app lets me track my reps, weight, and rest time. And tells me what exercises are in my routine. I love the automatic progression feature which increases the weight or reps after a certain number of successful session. Watch then syncs with phone app so I can review my progress.

### 5/5 — Simplistic and effective

*2026-04-19, version 49.2*

Just finished my first week using this app and thought it was great.

I used the upper/lower split template and tweaked it to my home gym equipment and tried out the new plan and it was really good so decided to make it my main plan for now.

Just got the unlimited free trial to have more time with the app but I think I will definitely be using this app as my main workout planner and tracker from now on.

There is still a few bugs that can be a bit annoying but I imagine they are already being worked on just by how polished the app already looks.

### 4/5 — Everything you need

*2026-04-13, version 49.2*

This app is easily my favorite workout tracker. It’s the perfect balance of simplicity and breadth of features.

One note: please add heart rate data to Strava activities

### 5/5 — Long Time User

*2026-04-03, version 49.1*

I’ve been using Liftin’ for a while now and just leaving a review now cause I’m still using it after a couple of years and it’s still getting better. Very thoughtful product design with features you actually want.

### 4/5 — Not enough exercise

*2026-03-31, version 49.1*

Idea is perfect. But not enough exercise. There is not a single crossover cable lower body exercise. Pulling hip to the side? Pulling leg back?

### 5/5 — Супер!

*2026-03-20, version 48.2*

Это то что я искал! Так все удобно сделано. А с часами заниматься это просто чистое удовольствие. Разработчик ты настоящий красавчик!

### 5/5 — Great first impressions

*2026-03-20, version 48.2*

Just tried my first session using the app today and I was pleasantly surprised, the app felt fluid and intuitive when using the watchOS app. The dev is responsive and open to suggestions which is nice to see, looking forward to seeing what new features and updates are coming.

### 5/5 — Just what I need

*2026-03-09, version 48.1*

I love this app. Start a workout on your phone? Instantly starts and syncs with your Apple Watch. Lock your phone screen? The Live Activity lets you mark sets as complete and watch rest timers without having to unlock your phone.

Everything is tracked locally. There’s no account you have to create. Integrates perfectly with Apple Health. iCloud sync keeps everything in sync and backed up.

### 5/5 — Awesome app, quick suggestion

*2026-03-08, version 48.0*

I love the app it is almost perfect. Do you have any plans to add support for dynamic double progression? That would be the icing on the cake

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Decked out app and fast support

*2026-05-11, version 51.0*

To preface this, I am coming from using Strong for several years. I paid the 6 months premium version, however the app is perfectly usable for free. Switched to this because it has better features, and you can import both Hevy and strong data easily. I did my first workout today, and it’s not syncing to apple fitness. (Update: Reached out to support and they helped me with that super quickly!!) Other than that, app runs smoothly and the features are amazing. Definitely worth paying for, would stick to strong if you want something free.

### 1/5 — Don’t bother with free tier

*2025-08-08, version 44.2*

Could only track 5 workout per month for free tier. I recommend other Hevy instead, it has unlimited tracking for free tier.

### 1/5 — Changes to Watch app ruined interface.

*2025-04-24, version 42.1*

Icons are too small and indistinct to be useful on Watch display, bring back big bold exercise titles.

### 1/5 — Lovely app

*2024-02-05, version 33.2*

Lovely app with serious syncing issues. If you leave your iPhone at the locker and use the Apple Watch app while training when the iPhone reconnects it will duplicate the training data and override the info of the watch.

### 1/5 — Keep deleting my custom programs

*2023-09-30, version 30.2*

Man, wanna love this app, but after creating a custom routine twice that the app just deletes, not worth it. If that worked, this all would be bomb. Fix that bug and you I’m all in.

### 1/5 — Great app but dumb payment concept

*2023-04-02, version 27.0*

Yet another great app, idea, and great features which have been totally undermined and destroyed by the greedy mindset of subscription purchases. It’s a shame because the live timers and the general exercise app is amazing but for Pete’s sake, just charge people €20 to buy this thing and have it for life but €120 for unlimited life use that is absolutely ridiculous and your payment plans are not great either therefore be warned if you have the free version you’ll be limited to five trainings per month and that is about it. What a shame you guys should really change your business model because people would definitely buy this full. a shame.

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2023-03-28, version 26.3*

I paid good money for this app and now all my workouts and progress has been 100% wiped.

### 1/5 — ABO ABO ABO

*2023-01-22, version 26.2*

Mehr braucht man nicht sagen. Mal wieder Abzocker welche an euer Geld wollen.
Habe die App über Appdvice gefunden, diese bietet täglich gratis Apps.
So soll es sein. Immer wieder, schleichet sich so ein Müll mit ein.
Soetwas sollte hier langsam verboten werden.

### 1/5 — Falling flat

*2022-03-09, version 18.1*

Falling flat since update. Notifications aren’t going off. New exercises won’t update for reps and weight. Screen will shut down need to go back to settings to update again so won’t shut off. Would leave email but won’t send. So had to leave it here on review. Come on. Let’s get it to something like before the update.

### 2/5 — bugs!!!!

*2025-11-15, version 45.9*

there are serious bugs with the new update where I can't edit the notes. Or when I try to edit the notes only part of it edits and then it doesn't save. This is undoing a tremendous amount of work. Can they please fix it?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2026-08-15, version 51.9*

This app is so fantastic at what it does. It got me into going to the gym and I will be forever thankful.

Valter, you have created something really special and I wish you all the success. Keep doing what you’re doing!

### 5/5 — Such Easy to used, top notch, and affordable!

*2026-07-08*

I have been searching for some good gym workout trackers for a long time and this app solves all my issues,
Cant wait for new updates!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review! 💪

### 5/5 — Excellent app for gym enthusiasts

*2026-07-07*

Ability to track and sync workouts with automatic progressive overload is too good. Made my Apple Watch useful again for gym.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review! 💪

### 5/5 — StrongLifts+

*2026-06-20, version 51.7*

I was looking for an app to support more customization options than SL and still have the Apple watch and easy to follow instructions during a workout. Liftin’ is that app that I was looking for and it keeps getting better.

### 5/5 — Missing feature of adjusting weights during the workout

*2026-06-16*

You don’t have an option you create a workout where you can record your weight on an exercise on the day of workout itself you just have to pre determine it

**Developer response:** Hi there! You can change weights during workouts. Just long press on a set or tap the pencil button in the upper right.

If you encounter any problems, please reach out to me at support@liftinapp.co.

### 5/5 — Perfetta

*2026-06-14, version 51.7*

App curata in ogni minimo dettaglio. Davvero un’ottima esperienza d’uso, soprattutto con Apple Watch.

### 5/5 — Best app out of the rest

*2026-06-09, version 51.6*

Tried many and liftin is the app I wish I had from the start

### 5/5 — Best Workout App Out There

*2026-06-07, version 51.6*

This is by far the best workout app out there. It focuses solely on your workout and it does its job exceptionally well, all while being designed specifically for iOS and WatchOS. The updates over time have only served to make the app even better. I’m excited to see what else it has in store.

### 5/5 — Very Impressive Tracker

*2026-06-01, version 51.5*

This app has a lot of great aspects; clean UI, great exercise animations, support for lots of preferences without being overwhelming, etc.

I’m excited to support this app and see how it matures over time.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-05-29, version 51.5*

Love the app so far been using for about a fortnight. Lots of features and love the Apple Watch tracking during a session. Creator very responsive to ideas and queries.
