## What is Lifyzer?

Know what is in your food, even when there is no signal.

Lifyzer scans products in its installed catalog and turns nutrition facts into a clear, explainable rating. Barcode lookup, package-text recognition, search, scoring, history, and favorites work on your iPhone from first launch, including in airplane mode.

EXPLAINABLE, NOT MYSTERIOUS

Lifyzer-NPM-1 applies the published UK Nutrient Profiling Model 2004/05 tables on your device. Product pages show the nutrition values behind each result, including energy, sugar, saturated fat, sodium, fiber, protein, and plant content.

NO FORCED DATA DOWNLOAD

The curated catalog is ready when the app opens. Lifyzer never checks for updates in the background. If you choose to update it, you stay in control by importing a compatible local dataset file.

IMPORTANT

Catalog coverage is finite, so some barcodes may not be installed. Lifyzer never guesses a missing product or silently sends it to a web service.

The Lifyzer rating is a comparison aid, not medical advice and not an official Nutri-Score. Product information is derived from Open Food Facts under ODbL 1.0 and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always check the package, especially for allergies or medical needs.

Lifyzer 2.0.2 makes offline scanning clearer, faster, and more recognizable. Barcode capture now uses Apple's accurate on-device recognition with an AVFoundation fallback, improved camera-permission recovery, and explicit package-text or offline-search actions when a code needs another path. Search and OCR are smoother and more tolerant of packaging text. Restored Lifyzer nutrient artwork, product placeholders, and friendly Favorites and History states reconnect the modern app with its original identity. This update also strengthens catalog validation and adds Pierre-Henry Soria's author profile.

Lifyzer 2.0.1 makes offline scanning more resilient and accessible. It adds clearer scanner and OCR fallbacks, reliable favorite ordering, safer history clearing, improved large-text layouts and contrast, and stricter validation for imported offline datasets.
