The two other auto/sync modes are spot on though, tons of fun to use. ### 3/5 — Needs some work *2018-04-20* I have the selection where it should run in the background and it always pauses after I switch to another app **Developer response:** Sorry for the delayed response. I can say every time I come back to using Light DJ, with good app support and better lighting effects. One app for phone and iPad is great, and each has a different GUI, optimized for the device. Also a swell animation for swelling volumes in cinema/music. ### 4/5 — Love the app but... *2017-01-27* I love this app for the built in capabilities and the connectivity to my 6 Lifx bulbs, but... I have one major issue. While creating a custom scene I like to make scenes for entire songs which take up a lot of spaces. When I get up to the 100 range of beats. The app will extremely slow down and often freeze or crash. I am running the app on an iPhone 6s Plus so the hardware isn't the problem. I wish it had less bugs when it came to that. I tested it with both mellow and upbeat music and it had a mind of its own...didn't match the beats whatsoever. I even tried adjusting the light speed in the setting and it was still a disappointment. What exactly did I pay for with my $10?! I wouldn't even use it again if it was free. Save your money, put it towards a ticket to EDC or something. Easy set up, easy to use and the greatest selection of effects. The sound to light is spot on. Lots of presets I am actually trying to make one with my school colors but I can’t seem to get the colors just right and I don’t see an input for the rgb. I've been waiting to be able to sync my lights to my music forever, but it's been limited by the old slow API. Now it's almost perfect. Just need some sort of equalizer to squash frequencies to ignore to only listen to the low frequencies and it'll be perfect! Great work! ### 5/5 — Great app for Hue Lights *2017-09-20* For effects still my go to app. It really allows you to show off the Hue Lights to friends - set the effect and colors (strobe) and have it linked to the music in the house via the mic on the iphone or iPad and watch the lights change colors to the music - like a club. The interface is getting a bit better still pretty busy but once you get the hang of what you need - it is easy to use.
