Absolutely useless for film photography. There’s free apps better than this. **Developer response:** Hello! Give the latest version a try and let me know if it works. ### 1/5 — Accurate but very buggy *2022-05-27* I’ve found this to be accurate and feature filled but very buggy. Eg. Cannot contact developer as button is broken. Selecting a shutter speed in reciprocity calculator bounces you back to main screen. **Developer response:** Hello! I will update here once I fix the issue. ### 2/5 — Never used it, the moment I use it, ruins it. *2025-11-06* 2 years of never using this app, the moment I'm going to use it...it is laggy, glitchy, never metered properly. I have proper sekonic lightmeter, but I have forget it the last two times of night photography. Those two times were enough show this app is not good...from now on, I may forget the camera, I may forget the lense or the tripod, but never the lightmeter because I can't trust this app. Never. **Developer response:** Hello! I will update here once I fix the issue. ### 2/5 — Terrible on iOS *2023-03-20* The image projected is stretched on ALL cameras. Can’t turn off histogram even if you uncheck the option. Can’t tap and select the area you want a reading… this app really needs a lot of work. The Android version is way more polished. For now, save your money and wait to see if the devs fix these issues. **Developer response:** Great feedback! Thank you for reporting. I would like better accuracy in metering for the shutter speed when the exposure is longer than 3 seconds . I used the app on android for 3 years and it was perfect **Developer response:** Hello! The spot meter function doesn’t work 80% of the time. I would love to see what the android version does on iOS. I’m using iPhone 13 pro max for reference **Developer response:** Hello! Rest is perfect. ### 5/5 — Essential tool *2026-08-11* This app deserves praise for its versatility. After continuous updates it’s like a Swiss Army knife! It can measure light accurately, covert exposures, calculate dof, flash guide number, angle of view and a number of other things I haven’t even tried. It can now display additional info like golden hour, twilight etc, so it’s even better. I love that I can save my gear and customise its values, so I don’t have to scroll through a lot of shutter speeds for example when I’m shooting with my old film camera that can only go as high as 1/250. This saves a lot of time and it’s very convenient. Love this app! ### 5/5 — Sensor Meter *2025-12-27* Love this app, but it seems to be missing the sensor meter. I don’t know if I don’t see it, please help let me know. ## Most praised reviews (1 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Best iOS light meter app *2023-04-10* For me this is the best iOS app for my Leica M3 and Hasselblad 500. Easy to use, most accurate unter all apps in the store. I really like the manual calculator wich is easy to use with the EV values. This gives a good understanding of the sunny 16 rule.
