Just make a light ad based version for hobbyists and occasional use; the battery stuff is actually just annoying and stupid and not as clever as they would like you to think and needlessly complex. Keep the pro full version as is.

App funktioniert gut, Zahlungsaufforderung aber spontan und intransparent, geht plötzlich nicht mehr ohne Geld. Macht das doch vom vorne herein klar.

Besten Dank für dein Feedback. Es freut mich, dass du mit den Funktionen der App zufrieden bist. Ich verstehe nicht ganz, wieso du findest, dass die Zahlungsaufforderung spontan kommt. Im App-Store steht in der Beschreibung bereits, dass es eine gratis Testphase gibt und nachher Batterieladungen gekauft werden können. In den Settings wird dein Batteriestatus ebenfalls immer klar kommuniziert und die diversen Auflademöglichkeiten beschrieben. Wo hättest du eine Info erwartet, damit das Ende der Testphase für dich nicht so überraschend gekommen wäre?

Is this app free? Absolutely not! I enjoy being asked to pay $20 for an app after using it for less than an hour, and it’s particularly enjoyable when all it’s doing is putting a wrapper on a sensor your phone already has built in.

Funktioniert nicht ohne Diffusor. Das sollte einfach fett im Titel stehen. Wollte spontan mein Luxmeter ersetzen und Werte vergleichen. Mit der App allein geht es nicht

Wir hätten es auch gerne anders. Wir geben uns sehr Mühe, dies an allen geeigneten Stellen zu kommunizieren, sind uns aber bewusst, dass wir uns da noch verbessern müssen. I’m not working at CERN. Just wanted to see if my new bulbs were a lot brighter.  Useless.

The app suddenly locked me out today demanding money. No it wasn’t clear and no there were no warnings. The price being asked is exorbitant and was nowhere indicated in the description of the app. Also the app is not registered for in app purchases so probably violates apples terms.

We indicate the remaining free usage with the battery draining as you use it 🔋🪫 The information in the App Store for in-app purchases shows how much the one-time lifetime activation costs. We think the price for a light meter is reasonable, but you may of course disagree.

Из за рекламы которая маячит сразу при включении и не уходит,требуя платной подписки,пользоваться не стала.

Жаль, что первое впечатление оказалось таким — но один момент важно прояснить: рекламы в LM-3000 нет вообще. Экран, который Вы видели, это «заряд батареи» приложения, то есть варианты оплаты. И подписка — лишь один из них: есть разовая покупка на два дня (≈$0,99) и разовая покупка навсегда (≈$19,99).

При установке приложение даёт бесплатную «стартовую батарею» минимум на два активных дня измерений, так что сразу после установки измерять можно бесплатно. Если экран не закрывается и не даёт работать — так быть не должно. Напишите нам на support@lightray.io с моделью iPhone и версией iOS, мы разберёмся.

Feine super App, die eine einzige Aufgabe hatte und diese super erfüllt hat. Jetzt auf einmal, obwohl sie im App Store als kostenfrei und ohne in-App-Käufe und ohne Abo Modell gelistet ist. Entweder ein Abo oder ein Einmalpreis von 23 € ist schon echt sehr sportlich und spiegelt leider nicht den Wert der relevanten Funktion wider, die sich auch nie ändern wird.

In unserer App-Beschreibung sind die gratis Testperiode von 2 Tagen und die Kaufoptionen beschrieben. Ausserdem markiert Apple automatisch alle Apps, die in-app Käufe beinhalten. Du findest den Preis von 23 Euro zu teuer für das, was du kriegst. Das Preisempfinden ist natürlich subjektiv, unserer Meinung nach ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis unübertreffbar: Du kriegst ein genaues Lichtmessgerät mit vielen praktischen Funktionen und regelmässigen Updates und Erweiterungen, für deine Hosentasche. Oder sogar günstiger, wenn du dich für eine kürzere Verwendung entscheidest. Aber wie gesagt, da gehen die Meinungen auseinander, und das ist okay.

Все приложение можно протестировать бесплатно, и если оно вам понравится, вы сможете выбрать подходящий вариант из нескольких предложенных. Вы получите точный светомер со множеством практичных функций и регулярными обновлениями — и все это за небольшую цену! По нашему опыту, недорогие светомеры, о которых вы говорите, очень неточные. Но если вы нашли такой, который соответствует вашим требованиям, я, конечно, рада за вас☺️

Hello I needed to have a mic meter for a job I was working on. I downloaded your app and thought that 48 hours of battery power would be plenty to use. Now having this mindset I went to open my light meter for the first time and use it this week after I purchased the 48hr 2 days before. To my surprise my battery was empty and I was not able to use the meter I had paid for. This really is not how an actual physical battery works. I feel taken for and a fool for spending any money on this to not be able to use. I apologize if this was clearly stated in the purchase agreement. But ethically this is not good. Thanks but no thanks?

Thank you for your feedback and detailed description of your concern. I'm sorry there was a misunderstanding. In our opinion, it is clear that the Single Charge charges the battery for 48 hours from the time of purchase, not only for the hours of actual app use. We also state this in our FAQs (https://lightray.io/lightmeter/#faq). However, of course, we can't expect all of our users to scroll through them in advance, and I can understand how the confusion happened. We will discuss this within the team and, if applicable, adjust our wording to make it clearer. In any case, it is not our goal to mislead our users, and we sincerely apologize. Please contact support@lightray.io so that we can find a solution.

It ask for you to buy the filter once you start to used it and true you can use paper to avoid it but the reading is really inaccurate. After download a week, it says it is “out of battery” and you need pay to recharge it. Just charge at beginning instead of pretend to be free

We try to communicate it very transparently, that it is a free download with a free trial, and then, if considered good and useful, continued use is only available for paying users. Where would you've expected this information? We are happy to learn and improve!
We think we found a fair way with the free trial period to test the app. And then, since you get an accurate and handy light meter with attractive features that additionally benefit from regular updates, we also find our prices justified. We tried to have something for every need: short-term subscriptions with small prices to one-time payments for lifelong access. Of course, you are free to have a different opinion!

As for the pricing, I think we've found a fair way by offering a completely free test phase for the entire app in the beginning. If you find the app helpful, in our opinion, it is fair to pay for it. Since you get an accurate and handy light meter with attractive features that additionally benefit from regular updates, we also find our prices justified. We tried to have something for every need: short-term subscriptions with small prices to one-time payments for lifelong access. Of course, you are free to have a different opinion!

Die App hat immer zuverlässig funktioniert und jetzt kommt plötzlich ein Update… 
- ab sofort wird ein wirklich unverschämter ABO Preis verlangt, der in keinster Weise dem Wert dieser App rechtfertigt.

Es tut uns leid, dass dich das letzte Update ärgert. Unsere App war schon immer in den ersten Tagen kostenlos nutzbar und wird es auch bleiben. So kannst du sie in Ruhe ausprobieren oder für kleinere Einsätze verwenden. Danach ist sie kostenpflichtig.

Wir haben unglaublich viel Zeit und Arbeit investiert, um eine der präzisesten und zuverlässigsten Lichtmess-Apps für iOS zu entwickeln – leider lässt sich das nicht völlig kostenlos anbieten.

Übrigens: Es gibt nicht nur ein Abo. Du hast drei Optionen zur Auswahl:

1) Lebenslang: Einmal zahlen, dauerhaft nutzen – inklusive aller zukünftigen Updates und auch bei Gerätewechsel.
2) 48 Stunden: Einmalige Zahlung für die volle Nutzung über zwei Tage.
3) Abo: Ideal, wenn du die App nur für kurze Zeit brauchst.

Ich habe eben das aktuelle Update bezogen und siehe da, die App lässt sich ab sofort nur noch mit Abo nutzen. 1.99€ um für einen Tag den "Akku" aufzuladen. Lol ich bin entäuchzsch und habe sie App sofort gelöscht.

Die App war schon immer und bleibt auch weiterhin in den ersten Tagen kostenlos nutzbar – ideal, um sie auszuprobieren und für kleinere Einsätze zu verwenden. Danach wird sie kostenpflichtig. Wir haben sehr viel Zeit in die Entwicklung investiert, um eine der genauesten und zuverlässigsten Lichtmess-Apps für iOS zu bieten – das können wir leider nicht kostenlos anbieten.

Dass es nur ein Abo gibt, stimmt so nicht. Du hast drei Möglichkeiten:
1. Lebenslang: Zahle einmalig und du hast die App für immer inklusive aller kommenden Updates und auch wenn du ein neues Gerät kaufst
2. 48h: Einmalig bezahlen und die App 48 Stunden lang voll nutzen.
3. Im Abo: Wenn du sie nur für einen kurzen Zeitraum brauchst.

Not having the budget for a pricey light meter I looked into potential apps and found this one. I read the developers description and the app manual and followed the directions and violà - it worked like a charm!!! It was SO EASY to try out the app prior to paying the very small, very reasonable one-time price!! As long as you aren’t an idiot who lacks self-awareness, and take the 1-2 minutes to read the description and instructions, then this is the app for you!!

THANK YOU for letting us make a one-time purchase instead of a subscription!! I just delete apps that require subscriptions lol. This light meter is well-designed (you just need a piece of paper as a diffuser), easy to use, and seems pretty accurate when comparing it to physical light meters. I also like that I was able to try it out several times before paying.
