Can’t see without an account

The fact that I can’t even see the program without creating an account disqualifies it for me.

Essentially useless for Musicians / Sound Engineers who also do lighting.

The features in this app are pretty good but I bought this and My DMX Go with the expectation I could mix and do lighting from the same iPad but that simply isn’t possible. Every time I switch over to any over app the lights pause mid scene or preset. This app would be perfect if I could use it while I mixed but sadly that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Response from developer

Hello! Thanks for checking out Light Rider. Unfortunately, it is not possible for Light Rider to send DMX data running in the background for longer than 10 minutes. However up until the 10 minute mark, it should still run as expected- so there may be an issue there. Perhaps if you could raise a ticket at help.lightrider.com, we could look further into this for you?

Features

Master dimmer shouldn’t be part of the preset. You should be able to dim the lights for a show and be able to carry that level of brightness over to other presets. Also, we should have a few more options for automation. For example, we should be able to set the order of the automation and speed of which things change. Also, it would be great to be able to have a fade between presents.

Response from developer

Hello! It is actually possible to exclude the Main and/or Sub dimmers from the Preset. When saving a Preset, you see 2 options to enable/disabled 'Main dimmer' and 'Sub dimmers'- if you disable these, the Main dimmer will no longer be a stored within the Preset. The order for effects can be set within the Fixtures page- the FX engines will run through each fixture from top-to-bottom. Simply press and hold, then drag to rearrange your fixture order. The speed of effects can be set within the Speed option (seen in the centre of the Move and Colour FX engine). If you would like to discuss further or provide us with some further suggestions- please do feel free to raise a ticket with us at store.lightrider.com/support :)

Disappointing!

Managed to switch over from classic to this new app. Still full of bugs. Had everything set up well, working as promised. Then the app crashed and my shows are all messed up. Lights keep getting fixed on full white with no way of over riding this. Random colours keep getting added into scenes dispute not being selected.
After a couple of hours of setting all the scenes up this is very frustrating. Such a shame as it could be amazing if the software was more reliable.
