## What is Light Spectrum Analyzer?

Spectrum Analyzer
iOS App, will need to give permission to allow the App to have permission to use your camera and file system when prompted

Physical Apparatus

A diffraction grating to be place in front of the camera
Light source such as a multi propose laser pointer
iPhone or iPad with the App installed

Use

Select one of the three sources of image
        Front Camera /Back Camera/File Manager

If the calibrated length between 2 points on the image is to be used, for example, distance between zero order length and the first order diffraction pattern of the red wavelength is approximately 650 nm, then select the radio button calibrated to input a known length. Move the square start end to re position the start of known calibrated start point and drag the arrow head to the end of the known length.
Similarly, re position the start and end of the free line spectrum to analyze the pixel perceived brightness where the start is BLUE =400 and end is RED =700 nm
The play/pause button will start or stop the calculation of the free line pixel perceived brightness along the line.

## Frequently asked questions about Light Spectrum Analyzer

### What is Light Spectrum Analyzer used for?

Light Spectrum Analyzer transforms your iPhone or iPad into a scientific instrument to analyze light spectra. It allows you to measure the perceived brightness of the free line spectrum from blue (400 nm) to red (700 nm) wavelengths.

### What physical apparatus is needed for Light Spectrum Analyzer?

To use Light Spectrum Analyzer effectively, you will need a diffraction grating placed in front of your device's camera and a light source, such as a multi-purpose laser pointer. Your iPhone or iPad with the app installed is also required.

### How does Light Spectrum Analyzer calibrate measurements?

The app allows for calibration by inputting a known length. For instance, you can measure the distance between the zero order length and the first order diffraction pattern of a red wavelength (approximately 650 nm) to set a calibrated length.

### Can Light Spectrum Analyzer analyze different light sources?

Yes, Light Spectrum Analyzer supports three sources of image input: the front camera, the back camera, or images from your file manager. This flexibility allows for analysis of various light sources.

### What is the update frequency for Light Spectrum Analyzer?

The latest version of Light Spectrum Analyzer is 0.0.17, last updated on May 8, 2019. While the app was released in 2018, its last update was in 2019, indicating a potentially infrequent update cycle.

### What is the age rating for Light Spectrum Analyzer?

Light Spectrum Analyzer has an age rating of 4+. This suggests it is suitable for young children and general audiences interested in educational science applications.

### Does Light Spectrum Analyzer have ads?

The provided data does not specify if Light Spectrum Analyzer contains advertisements. However, as it is a free application, there is a possibility of ad support.

### What devices are supported by Light Spectrum Analyzer?

Light Spectrum Analyzer is compatible with iPhones, iPads, and iPods. It is designed to leverage the camera and processing capabilities of these Apple mobile devices.
