It’s refreshing to be on an app that’s not an endless feed, not cluttered by news and nonsense, but just filled with likeminded people who want to connect around the things I care about. Love it! Give it a shot. **Developer response:** this means a lot. we built lighthouse to make social media feel more intentional — less endless scrolling and more genuine connections around the things you care about. so glad you’re part of the community. ### 1/5 — Useless app with annoying marketing *2026-05-15* Constantly uses bots to advertise the app across different Chicago forums, misguiding people to download. It feels simple and intentional, not just another place to scroll forever. What I like most is how it encourages real connections. Once you connect with someone you can see more of their profile, which makes the whole thing feel more personal instead of random. It actually feels like you’re meeting people in your area who share similar interests, which is what a local social network should be doing. The app itself is clean and easy to use, and setup took only a minute. It’s a really refreshing take on a local social network.
