My dad told me I was a fool, that there would never be such an event as long as I would live. I cried myself to sleep that night, praying to the light gods to answer my prayers so that maybe one day, a pitiful soul like me could lay my unworthy eyes on such a beautiful and awe-inspiring sight. Flash forward a few weeks and my friend asked me if I had heard of the LOTL app. I replied, “such dreams are an avenue for disappointment.” But he showed me this app and I almost couldn’t believe it. Now I spent all my time watching the countdown until the event starts. I’ve even put my tent on the lawn in anxious anticipation. I’ve been eating grass and bugs for sustenance.
