This software found my OpenDMX device right away, and I was controlling lights almost immediately. My favorite thing about this app is how easy it is to just flick through all 512 DMX channels, see all the values are a glance, and change them on-the-fly. If a cue is running, you can see the faders move around in real-time. You can even give the channels creative names so you actually remember what they do. ### 5/5 — Excellent lighting set up and test tool *2010-06-26, version 0* Provides a great way to locate Artnet devices on an Ethernet network connected to a wireless router. Makes it quick and easy to visually test and set lighting levels. So I'm not reviewing the app on the functionality of the app. The app works as described. But the app looks old and dates. Hey devs, give us an update with a UI refresh. More bells and whistles would be nice as well. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2013-08-02, version 1.1* App constantly crashes, don't update if you don't have to. No separate up/down fade time. Inserting a cue renumbers all cues after it. Also, pressing GO does not execute the cue you have selected (as the instructions state)... It automatically advances to the NEXT cue and executes it instead. The one thing needed to make it perfect is a master fader next to the cue list. ### 4/5 — Lighting pad fan *2012-01-16* Lighting pad is a great app for what I need it for, I was able to use it within a few minutes, and it just works, it fills the gaps where my hardware controller has limitations in sliders/pages. Although relatively cheap in comparison to hardware or alternate software, I feel this app can really benefit from having stacks to automate the que's. Sliders names should be saved along with que config. 4 stars for price, ease of use, seamless artnet connect and file saves & transferability between iPad, phone and pc. One star short for absence of continuous development - last release in 2010, needing stacks and colour pickers possibly additional support for moving heads positioning instead of a slider. ### 4/5 — dmx made easy *2011-10-04, version 1.01* this $10 app will do an awesome job and is easy to use , no learning curve - other then your wireless and artnet setup - but that setup is needed with all these dmx apps i see so far ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Dirt simple, like a real lighting controller *2021-09-08, version 2.1.0* I farted around with fancier apps for hours just trying to assign channels to fixtures and such. I switched to this app and had everything working in five minutes. I’m just fading lights in a Tv studio, not running a Brit Floyd concert. This was perfect for me. ### 5/5 — Great focus tool *2020-09-24, version 2.1.0* Although this hasn’t been updated in quite some time, I love this app. It does the job and is a great tool to have when you’re up on the catwalk away from the console and working alone. Plus you can create Presets/cues for a basic show or saves for work lights etc. Is compatible with the Enttec ODE. ### 5/5 — I love it. *2015-04-25, version 2.1.0* This is one great app. The prefect light board for quick and dirty diming. I use it on video Shoots to control remote lights. (price of app + artnet dmx + wireless ap). excellent app and for $10 is excellent. Adding a few features such as multiple assignments per fader or memories on a fader would be great. And as a bonus there is a link in the app to request a 10% off coupon for an artnet to dmx box. ### 5/5 — Fantastic *2011-08-21* Finally a cost effective lighting control app. Fantastic for running small shows or as a riggers remote. Very easy to use and operate. Well recommended. Only two cons, You do need a node that holds the last value given as the app does not send continuous artnet packets. Would be good to have an option to do this. Also voucher email bounces. But all in all very well done. Thanks! ### 5/5 — Pretty cool app *2011-06-06, version 1.01* Downloaded this yesterday after receiving my enttec ode box. Not being so network savvy it took me an hour or so to figure out how to get my router to work with it. TIP: first hook everything up and go into settings on the app and have it look for the dmx box. It will show you the ip address of the box. Then go into the settings on your router and change it's ip address so it can use the ip address of the box. My dmx box address ended in .167 so I set the router to start handing out addresses at .150. This did the trick, no other setting needed. Hope that may help someone out there as I could not find any step by step instructions online. A few things I would love to see added to this app are 1- a grandmaster 2- virtual keypad like on all dimmer boards 3- the ability to make the sliders into submasters. I would pay more than the $9.99 if it had these upgrades, but I am happy with what it does do. ### 5/5 — Professor LD *2010-11-25, version 0* Way cool. Works like a charm.
