It recently stopped working at all. Even after uninstalling and being forced to sign up for something, it still doesn’t work. What’s up with this? ### 2/5 — Love the radio station, but the app is horrible now *2026-09-11* I don’t know what exactly Happened, but I can’t even get the app to open anymore. Used to be able to stream what was playing live and it was great. now I can’t even get the app to open. I even tried removing it and then re-downloading it. ### 1/5 — Used to love this app, now it’s unusable *2026-09-06* I’ve been a loyal Lightning 100 app listener for 3 years, ever since moving outside the Nashville broadcast area. The recent update has broken the core function: streaming. The app now forces you through an account registration screen before you can listen. The “skip” option is buried below the signup form - a classic dark pattern that pressures users into creating an account. Worse, the skip button is actually broken, so there’s no way to bypass registration even if you want to. Additionally, you have to opt out of the auto-enabled notifications from the start instead of opting in yourself. For a station that brands itself as independent, this app now feels like it was handed off to someone optimizing for data collection instead of listeners. Please fix the skip button and stop hiding it - some of us just want to stream the radio. ### 2/5 — Put a play button/listen live button on Home Screen *2021-04-18* Put a play button on Home Screen It makes NO sense to have to navigate through a menu It should require ONE tap. App seems to freeze if you try to leave and come back. Basically have to force quit and relaunch. Even then, it sometimes fails to play. The listen screen is mostly BLANK SPACE Put banner ads in addition to artist and song. That might pay for the app development costs of putting a ‘listen live’ button on Home Screen. If you need an example, check out 102.9 The Buzz Nashville’s Rock Station. Their screen is sloppy and messy, but at least the button is where it ought to be. ### 5/5 — Reinvented Radio! *2020-10-07* INDEPENDENT is where it’s at! ### 5/5 — Best Music Discovery *2020-10-07* Lightning 100 makes it so easy to discover new good music. I can always trust the DJs at Lightning 100 to pick the best music and share it with me before it gets posted on Spotify or Amazon. #lightning100 ### 5/5 — Lightning 100 Nashville Tn. *2020-10-06* I love this radio station!! It’s easy to use and will play the station while using my other apps without interruptions. ### 5/5 — Music Discovery! *2020-10-05* It’s my source for music discovery & with this app, I can take it wherever I go!
