## What is Lights, Camera, Sold?

Photograph a piece. Get a professional listing.

That killer listing you would write if you had all day, in about a
minute.

Not a guess at what it is worth. A finished listing: the title, the item
specifics, and a description written the way a dealer writes one -
in a long version and a sixty-word version, because a piece you are
asking $600 for and a piece you are asking $30 for should not be sold in
the same number of words.

WHAT IT ACTUALLY DOES

- Reads the photograph and asks you the handful of things a photograph
cannot tell it: the heft, the findings, the wear, the marks.
- Writes the title. Eighty characters in search order, which is the one
thing that decides whether your item is ever seen.
- Writes the item specifics, from readings you confirmed. Not invented.
- Writes the description twice - full, and cut to the bone.
- Tells you WHY it thinks what it thinks, step by step, so you learn the
method instead of just taking the answer.
- Packages the piece as a social post, with the caption written for you.
- Gathers the finished listing into one place - title with its character
count, description, short version, specifics, photograph - each one a
tap to copy, so it goes wherever you sell.

NINE VOICES, AND THE PIECE PICKS THE REGISTER

The same brooch reads differently to different buyers. Aphrodite writes
editorial. Uncle Les talks to another dealer. The Collector writes to
somebody who will never wear it. The Museum writes a label card. Marilyn
gives an ordinary piece its moment without pretending it is more than it
is.

And the app knows when a voice is miscast. A museum label card over a
stamped brooch is absurd; a paragraph of atmosphere over a modest piece
tells a buyer you need the sale. It says so, once, and then the choice
is yours.

WHAT IT WILL NOT DO, AND WHY THAT IS THE POINT

It never tells you what your piece is worth. Where a number appears it
is a range drawn from what OTHER pieces sold for and are asking now, out
of professional dealers' own records - for your consideration, not an
appraisal.

It never calls unmarked metal sterling, silver or gold. A stamp is the
most faked thing on a piece of jewelry, and sterling is not sterling
until it has been tested.

It never names a protected brand from a look. Only from a mark you
confirmed.

It never writes the word rare.

Every one of those is a rule that protects your selling account, and you
agree to them in writing before the app will run.

SCOUT

In the field, at a table, with forty things in front of you. Point the
camera and get a fast read on whether it is worth picking up. It is a
sort, not an appraisal, and it says so.

NO ACCOUNT. NO MARKETPLACE.

No sign-in, no email, no zip code. Each photograph is sent to be read
and the answer comes back; your photographs are kept on your phone, not
by us.
The listing goes up under your name, on your account, on the platform
you choose. This app does not want your inventory and does not want your
buyers.

WHO MADE IT

Professional dealers, with more than 6,000 sales of fine, vintage and
estate jewelry, who got tired of writing listings at eleven at night
and built the thing they wanted.

it writes and decide.
