### 4/5 — Addictive but buggy!

*2022-01-27, version 0.19.0*

There’s clearly been a lot of work put into this game and it is very good!
The 6 main ‘colors’ are well balanced each with it’s own playstyle, and you quickly get enough cards to brew your own decks without needing to spend real cash.

The pvp works smoothly and the chat options are limited so no one can be a troll!

There are several ways to play solo, including an adventure mode that (while not my personal favourite) gets you more cards, and helps you to see different strategies and ideas.

Also, the devs seem to promote sharing of deck ideas, and cards - you can scan in your physical cards and scan other people’s booster / ‘tribute’ cards, which gets you bonuses.

For all its perks though, it’s not a perfect game.
It crashes more often than i care for, including but not limited to PvP games, draft, and whenever I take a phonecall. Even against bots this results in a loss by default.

The game occasionally shows you one card when you’re actually looking at something else entirely.

The rules are not all that intuitive, and the walkthrough only gives you a basic understanding.

Other than the crashes, these are all forgivable sins! I am still hooked on Lightseekers!

### 4/5 — Is this game still being made?

*2021-05-30, version 0.19.0*

I haven’t seen updates or news in over a year.

### 4/5 — A good game, but one bug

*2019-12-18, version 0.18.1*

I really enjoy the game and it’s unique style of play, but while selling my cards, I sold a red rarity card that glitched my crafting currency to not be able to craft anymore cards. I had a couple thousand of it and then lost all of it to this glitch. Other than that, I have found the game very fun and challenging.

### 3/5 — It’s very good but has it problems

*2019-12-08, version 0.18.1*

I’ve been playing for a while and like the card game itself but I dislike the constant changes being made to the game. I think a lot of the cards were fine the way they were.

### 2/5 — Used to be great

*2019-11-22, version 0.18.0*

This game used to be amazing, as I collected 90% of other physical cards for the original release. With the most recent version, ALL of my decks suddenly contained cards I apparently no longer owned. I don’t see how this was possible because back before the cash grab, you all GAVE us the decks. This makes me sorry I invested a little money into this app. I love the newer features you have been implementing, but this game has really outgrown my interests. I would be less critical if when banning old cards, you replaced them with new ones or updated ones as you did with the crazed bomber in the tech deck.

You have essentially taken away everything we have been earning since the beginning of the app, and are trying to force us to pay to buy new cards.

No thanks.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect.

*2019-10-06, version 0.16.1*

I’m not too demanding as a gamer, I can play almost anything and find myself immersed in virtual escapes quite often. If someone asked me to review lightseekers, I’d say that game is easy to get into and has quite a lot going for it—I appreciate the art style, the subtle lore, the attention to detail (and, more recently, gameplay balancing.) I’ve played for roughly a month and a half and have got to say I’ve enjoyed my first online card-game experience. My one major issue as a somewhat seasoned player would probably be to provide an option for non-legacy (illegal cards which have been determined as unplayable in ranked mode) matchmaking on the unranked mode. For a game that’s paid so much attention to detail, I can’t help but wonder why this isn’t an option—sometimes you might not want to play in ranked matchmaking...but also not want to play against illegal (broken) decks in the unranked alternative. I could feel my motivation to play this game gradually decreasing as match after match I’ve had to choose between one or the other, and it just took away from the experience. But hey, overall, it’s a fun game. I was able to play intermittently as a free player and got quite far—most mobile games reward players (even free ones) for loyalty and Lightseekers is no exception, which is great. This game is moving in the right direction. I’d be interested in seeing where it ends up, because there’s plenty of potential here.

### 2/5 — Upset

*2019-07-08, version 0.15.0*

The game have a potencial and I enjoy playing it but i had major bug during ranked and there is no support page on developers website. My all cards changed into one type and couldnt play any becouse it was cards from other deck. And because it was my first ranked loss it was bigger upset. I playered random games but this happened only once

### 5/5 — GENEROUS With their loot system !!

*2019-03-22, version 0.13.0*

I saw a review earlier stating that you’re forced to buy a toy pack to receive cards ?? Extremely obscured statement with zero logic to the games generosity in their loot system. I’ve literally paid 5 dollars and pulled out 2 legendaries and tons and tons of epics ! You don’t even have to spend a dollar ! I spent 5 to support this great game ! Thanks for being generous with the loot ! If you’re like me .. an addict for loot games then this is for you ! Good luck

### 5/5 — If you like magic or heathstone

*2019-01-27, version 0.12.0*

This is fantastic. In a world where there are a ton of options to play this game is deep and immersive. They WANT you to play their game so you can trasfer physical cards onto the digital and no other game does that.

### 2/5 — Clunky

*2019-01-06, version 0.12.0*

Horrible mechanics. This won’t last.

### 5/5 — WOW. This is good!

*2018-12-25, version 0.12.0*

I’m kind of surprised this game isn’t bigger on mobile. Perfect card game!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Why

*2022-12-08, version 0.19.0*

It won’t download on my phone for some reason

### 1/5 — No funciona

*2022-07-17, version 0.19.0*

La aplicación no me arranca, me pide una actualización y no me deja actualizar, es curioso que fue luego de dejar una reseña aquí 🤨

### 1/5 — Good concept, bad execution

*2021-04-12, version 0.19.0*

Good mechanics and decent card design. Terrible cash-grab tactics ruin the experience. Fun for a few days until you realize it's completely impossible to grind for anything whatsoever. You'll have to pay into an endless pit to advance. I spend thousands on games annually but not when they don't value my time or that of free players.

### 1/5 — It’s good,but one problem...

*2019-11-28, version 0.18.1*

I have been playing and it’s fun and addicting. But i’ve gotten to the point where i have to use a power card and i son’t have a strike IV so i can’t continue the game. Please fix this for me so i can continue playing and not wasting my time trying to get the strike IV itself or trying to fix...

### 1/5 — Like this game but....

*2019-06-21, version 0.14.0*

This game is good but I closed it out to charge my iPad and now it will not log back in, honestly makes me sad that I was enjoying this game but can’t get it to load now. Re-downloaded it but it will still not work. So unfortunately I will be permanently deleting this game.

### 1/5 — $100 for literally nothing but a link to the iTunes Store.

*2019-05-12, version 0.14.0*

I can’t play, since the game says I need an update and there is no update. I spent a good deal of money on in-game cards thinking it would be great to manage virtual cards rather than physical cards. Now I have nothing but sunk investment and no way to play.

There should at least be an offline option: let you manage and view cards while they fix bugs. That may encourage me to believe that my investment is not lost. Instead, I get a screen that sends me to the iTunes Store where I can buy music and movies.

### 1/5 — Challenges Have Gotten Ridiculous

*2019-03-05, version 0.13.0*

I have been a dedicated player since beta. I am stubborn, ambitious and dedicated and used to love the challenges. I can usually pretty quickly figure out the strategy however the strategies don’t work when you have things like the “Thrillsquid” where they can have more than 6 of a buff that causes you to not be able to do any damage. Clearly in this case you need to be able to remove the buffs. Seems like a simple enough strategy however you can only have three of the same card. I make a deck with three of a card that removes 2 buffs at a time which should work. It can be challenging when your needed cards never come up. All of this I could deal with and kept trying but when you finally get the cards and they somehow have 7 or 8 of this card it just gets stupid and boring. It is no longer fun or about strategy. Even switching up decks you should be able to try different strategies with favorite decks but they keep ruining, nerfing and screwing up the decks once you get used to a certain style of play. I used to love the dread deck and used Sicario but they screwed him up so bad he is no longer fun to play. Just wish they’d balance the game again. Still holding out hope that it will be fun again.

### 1/5 — Deceptive

*2019-01-26, version 0.12.0*

Game is constantly trying to upsell you buying physical cards after every match. It's bad enough that earning cards by playing is painfully slow but it seems the expectation is you MUST buy physical since some cards are ONLY available via those packs or toys to life figures.

I was mostly interested in the campaign challenges only to find these are locked behind loot crates. Not only are they locked but the CPU literally cheats. They have non-legal decks that are absolutely infuriating to play against. They break all the deck building rules and this is not clear at all when start a match.

There are also a series of UI issues such as not being able to see attachments on heroes, being given very little time to read a card that is being attached or played, notification badges that won't clear, or the app ignoring drags.

I have played CCGs for over 20 years and this is one of the more deceptive that I have played. A little more transparency up front would go a long way.

When I tried to play casual I end up vs people who have obviously invested in the game. I have no issues dropping money on CCGs (I've spent thousands over the years) but when you have little chance of playing others who are using starters no thank you.

I see a ton of potential here but it's marred by some questionable choices.

### 1/5 — Great game!

*2018-12-27, version 0.12.0*

If you want a card game that is strategic and fun, this is it. The campaigns are challenging without being completely overtuned and impossible. I had never heard of this game before, and as a paper MTG player, I'm always skeptical of new card games. This game greatly exceeded my expectations.

### 1/5 — If you mess up a tutorial, It’s a bad sign.

*2018-10-23, version 0.8.3*

Been playing warhammer quite a bit, thought I’d try this. Launch it into and thrown immediately into a tutorial with nothing else before it. A little weird but fine. Get to the part where it tells you to use the Flame Bat, I’m holding 3 and it refuses to let me use 2 of them. A bit funky but whatever. I get to the very next part asking the same thing but can’t use either of the bat’s I have. Reinstalling didn’t help. A solid 0 stars if I could. Not worth the time.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Can’t log in

*2025-03-24, version 0.19.0*

I’m having a problem with it telling me I can’t login because I’m logged in elsewhere and I most certainly am not

### 5/5 — I love it

Been playing for a while is my cup of tea .

### 5/5 — Amazing game

*2024-11-16, version 0.19.0*

Me and my friends were talking about an anime that has a similar idea to this game. One my friends mentioned your game. We all enjoyed it and loved it. Thank you for making this game and we are looking forward to its future.

### 5/5 — Hidden gem

*2023-03-14, version 0.19.0*

This TCG is great and very unique. And the crazy thing is tons of people still play this. I rarely wait more than a few seconds for a casual match. Seems to be still getting regular updates. If you are in the mood for a TCG that isn’t just a hearthstone clone, give this one a shot.

### 5/5 — Love Lightseekers

*2022-06-17, version 0.19.0*

I love how it introduces TCG in a different way by having corners. Timing is everything and nothing.
