I counted 6 pop ups when I loaded in today. (Rollback has been like that for a few weeks.) most of these were advertising for in game purchases. Despite my in-app purchases being switched off. (While other games spare me.) I have no idea what’s going on with the direction for this game. — Previous review 3 stars— So after playing the game for a while, I’ve decided I was grumpy about the seemingly strange choice by the devs to fundamentally change the evolution mechanic. My new new standpoint is: “it’s not that bad”. Sure they pulled the rug out from long term players, and confused the heck out of everyone. -> and could do it again (like Google does). But this new method has more flexibility and easier “new player” understandability. So I’ve upped my 2 star rating to 3. Give it a shot #punintended. — previous review 2 stars — It’s brand new! Why? Because with one update, it totally changed the game and basically sent everyone back to the beginning with their hero/card progress. At least that’s what seems to have happens to me. Very sad to see my prior decisions and investment all nuked. Not even sure I like the game any more. Still functions though, no crashes. ### 4/5 — Still Early *2019-12-28* But game is solid so far.. Now the whole game experience changed and more loyal players quit 😔 ### 3/5 — Update 18 OCT 2019 *2019-10-20* I have very much enjoyed this game, not pay to win just takes some grinding. Since the update, it has completely changed the mechanics of character progression and it freezes up whenever I try to watch videos for items. Not impressed, honestly quite disappointing. Would gladly give 5 stars if improvements are made. ### 4/5 — Fun but needs a little QA *2019-07-05* Excellent game and you definitely don’t have to pay to win. Guilds are fun and the solo play is also good. However, load times are slow (and seem to get slower with each upgrade) and going back and forth through the game, store, collection, etc pretty regularly causes a crash (fortunately, it saves state a lot, so you don’t lose much unless it happens during a game, which is rarer). Ideally, next upgrade would focus on QA for speed and stability before doing new features. If that can be fixed then it will be great again. ### 1/5 — Update ruined the game *2019-05-15* This new update ruined the game. I used to be able to beat weekly events on hard. Since the update, I can not even beat them on normal! Please fix! ### 1/5 — N3twork! Run and hide! *2019-05-15, version 2.7.0* For anyone that knows of the company N3twork and it’s reputation...consider this your warning. You won’t find their name anywhere on the App Store page, but just click on the Privacy Policy link at the bottom, and you’ll soon see that it takes you to N3twork’s website. Kind of incredible that N3twork went through so much trouble to hide its involvement in this game behind corporate shells, only to be stupid and lazy, and have the privacy policy link to their website. Oh wait...that shouldn’t surprise because stupid and lazy is how N3twork does business. Sadly, last night’s update to LightSlinger, makes it clear that N3twork has not learned from its mistakes that ruined Legendary Game of Heroes (LGOH), and drove whales upon whales away from that game. Many of those whales and their friends wound up here...and we were happy! I guess N3twork just couldn’t stand that so many of its long time players left LGOH to play another game, because last night LightSlinger had a massive update that is so awful and screwed up so much of this game that it just smelled like N3twork. And then, surprise surprise...it turns out it was N3twork. The changes devalue the time and in some cases money spent by players to build their decks. The changes also reduce the ability of players to be F2P, destroy the value of VIP, and have resulted in a bait and switch on the player development packs purchased by players by changing the rewards in those packs that players have not yet earned (for example, now you receive crappy summoning scrolls for beating level 20-8, while prior to the update you received a 7* hero). Talk about unfair and deceptive—the consumer protection divisions of the states’ attorney generals’ offices would have a field day with this. Even worse, these changes are exactly the same kind of changes that N3twork made to LGOH, which set the table for them to ultimately destroy that game and turn it into a pure money grab. Simply put, I (and anyone else who played LGOH in the early days and knows of N3twork’s reputation for money grab) don’t need a crystal ball to tell the world what’s coming down the pipe for LightSlinger— money grab after money grab, and then just when you think they have leveled off a bit with the money grabs, they will change the whole platform and move the goal posts, so they can start the money grabs all over. And this cycle will just repeat over and over. Why did you have to sell out Skyborne??? (I’d ask why N3twork had to destroy another game I loved, but sadly, I already know the answer—pure greed—what N3twork does best!) My advice to everyone...stay away! Run and hide! With N3twork at the helm, this game doesn’t even deserve the 1 star I had to give it. If I could give it negative stars...I would! R.I.P. LightSlinger! ### 1/5 — Update *2019-05-15* New update is garbage. They changed how you get hero shards, now it takes forever and is pure rng now. It’s a waste of time to play. ### 3/5 — Good *2019-04-20* It’s good if you like bubble pop games. My thing is, I was doing really well at first and cruising along at a great pace, then it started to slow down almost to a halt, and that’s when I got bored. It takes a long time to get pieces of characters, since you need 30 puzzle pieces to make a whole one. Then they turn into stars, and you need so many stars to star up your character. It’s just a long process and it can stop if you try and get rare characters. I also only have one water and a bunch of light characters. ### 4/5 — Decent so far!! *2019-04-18* So far gameplay is decent, graphics are good and the gameplay is smooth!! ### 1/5 — Naked cash grab *2019-04-08* The game is very basic and you feel accomplished as you tear throw levels but soon you will be able to go no further without paying. I've never played this before and this is my first time opening the game. Keep being told it’s in development mode and I don’t have permission to access.
