### 1/5 — The bare minimum

The display shows the customer the bare minimum. It does not show that discounts have been applied, it does not update the total when split payments are applied, it does not let the customer know that their credit card payment has been accepted. It shows them the total and that is about it.

### 2/5 — Without signature option, it’s limited

The idea is solid and it does show the customer a nice summary of their purchase. But without the option to have the customer sign for their credit card receipt, it loses a lot of utility.

I can’t get my head around what Lightspeed sees as the flow. So the merchant is looking at one iPad while the customer is looking at the display iPad. Then, at the end of the purchase flow, the merchant then has to hand the customer their iPad so the customer can sign and the customer has two iPads in front of them now? As a customer, I’d wonder, “Why can’t I just use the iPad I’ve been looking at to complete this purchase?” I don’t get it either.
