Called them and no help. DO NOT USE!! ### 2/5 — Great if you like bugs... *2020-07-28* I like the idea of Shopkeep, but they just can’t make a stable product for restaurants. Printing errors, support team that doesn’t listen, total system crashes that require completely uninstalling and setting back up. Hardware integrations that don’t work consistently. They never seem to have an interest in fixing their issues. You must completely remove the license. It is easy to use and works well for us. I like being able to track store activity and sales from the app. I can keep track of items sold, tenders and other activities. Back in the day, it was hands-down the best cloud POS on the market—reliable hardware, smooth software, and fast, helpful US-based customer service. Ever since the company was sold off and consolidated, quality control has completely plummeted. The software is constantly full of bugs that disrupt daily operations. Recently, a critical payment processing bug went unfixed for two whole weeks, forcing our business to manually key in every single credit card transaction during peak hours. That meant longer check-out lines and higher processing fees out of our own pocket. To make matters worse, customer support is now practically non-existent—slow, unhelpful, and impossible to get on the line when your register goes down mid-day. If you are a business owner looking for a reliable POS system with responsive support, look elsewhere. ShopKeep is a legacy shell of what it used to be. Avoid. ### 1/5 — Warning! Hidden fees - if you don’t use their credit card processing, they fine you HUGE fees *2024-10-30* This started as an affordable option, and has gone up and up in cost/ price and now they’re adding additional huge fees if you want to use your own processor that wasn’t in the fee breakdown when they sell you. If you don’t use their card processors, they tack on MASSIVE fees. Always issues with credit card and tap and chip… still having issues with no help ### 1/5 — Worthless *2023-05-20, version 6.1.0* I have an account but it wont let me login. We have multiple stores I’m not typing in all the store names all day hoping that ONE of them is going to be the concoction of random letters and words you want. We’re switching to square. ### 1/5 — Reliability is not here *2023-02-27* Your business needs reliable products that work, not something that is so intermittent that customers walk out as you try to get the app to connect with the card reader. All of the Bluetooth functions are unreliable, and every time there is an update to the app you have to figure out a new sequence to try and keep connected. App locked up last night. Tried chat support - no response at all - kept spinning waiting for a response. Called - put on hold - gave phone number for callback. Never occurred. The system is unreliable and crashes constantly. I have square as a backup. Square processes faster, and is far more stable. I have never needed square support but something tells me it would blow these people away. Finally fixed my system by using the online faqs to delete the old app and download a new app. Getting out of this deal asap - don’t fall for their pitches - the software is poorly constructed and they don’t support it. ### 1/5 — Ready to change my Shopkeep software *2022-01-27* I have been having problem with my CC machine and integration for 10 days now and no one can help me to solve the problem. I explained to the tech support how unhappy I am and if I can take it to a manager level but no one reached out to me. I have been loosing customers due to a bad software. The Tech support lady mentioned that she is sorry and they have been having lots of problems with the Magtech and she was frustrated as well. I use to like Shopkeep and their support but unfortunately I am taking my business somewhere else. ### 1/5 — DONT GO WITH THIS COMPANY *2021-07-23, version 5.20.0* They overcharge you for what you get and if you use them for your credit card processor they will charge you 3 times what other companies charge. Plus no matter what you do you will not be PCI compliant so they charge you for that as well. Then when you find this out and try to cancel their service they refuse to refund the unused portion of what you paid. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!!!! ### 1/5 — Bottom Line: Do not get this app or Shopkeep *2021-07-04* The Shopkeep app have lost countless tickets for our business, customers have been double charged; I pay extra for elevated support and they refuse to even respond to requests for assistence; Shopkeep was purchased by Lightspeed- they offshored their customer support- 45 min waits are common, no solutions for issues are common; asking for a supervisor- none available ever. The bottom line- DO NOT USE THIS SYTEM. DO YOUR HOMEWORK- this app will cause headaches, lost business, and cost you. PASS ON IT. ### 1/5 — DO NOT GET SHOPKEEP THEY DO NOT FIX ISSUES *2021-01-21* I have had countless and countless problems from using this crap system! My customers are being double charged, items that have been put into the system won’t scan, system crashed constantly, card reader works when it wants to andthe solutions they give never work. I have sent way to many emails and called too many times for the same thing and thier solution to the problem is Delete the system reinstall it and it SHOULD be fine. Then a day later or hours later or if im lucky weeks later it happens all over again.
