If you need to get help beyond having someone read the documentation for you, call sales and pretend you’re a new customer. On the other hand, Vend is not flexible in TAX margins. It basically incorrectly manages tax and tax on commission and it could’ve gotten us in a lot of trouble if we hadn’t caught it in time. Don’t understand how such an important part of the Vend system was omitted. ### 1/5 — TRIAL?? *2018-11-20* What kind of trial doesn’t allow for you to add inventory... one that fills up to the maximum 10 allotted. And of course I can’t delete this inventory. This is NOT A TRIAL! If I have to spend $100 to do a trial run just to see how simple it is to add inventory it’s not a trial. Also, not sure if this is just another restriction until you pay but whenever I tried multiple different time to edit existing product to see what mine would look like it would error out stating, “Please fix errors highlighted in red”... meanwhile nothing on the screen was highlighted. I would really really really love to participate in a trial. Bugs and errors riddle the app. Price went up and service went out the window. Support has also become extremely terrible. Support team is often unresponsive, takes super long to type, and usually after hours of chatting they still can’t solve your issue (and after ticket creation there is no follow up). ### 1/5 — SCAMMERS!!!!! *2023-12-06* They gave me a 1 day trial and then tried to steal $400 out of my account. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFO!!!!!!!!!! ### 1/5 — Scanner support is abysmal and they don’t care *2023-08-24, version 5.38.1* Generally lacking in scanner support and the dev team don’t care. The list of supported devices is super limited.. iPad has 4 possible usable scanners. Works in chrome browser but not the app. Lazy Development and support. Proof it’s app specific poor support ### 1/5 — Stopped working in the middle of trade! Wanting new iPad! *2023-08-18, version 5.38.0* Vend was bought by lightspeed. All they did was bump prices up by 25% with no discernible improvements. Now the app stops working in the middle of trade requiring a newer iPad. Our existing solution has been working perfectly well for years, integrated with our Star M POP cash drawer and scanner. We would quite happily use the old app, very Frustrating!!! My hats 🎩 off to Vend, their sales team and the technical team. Outstanding work!! Vend, their developers and sales team have been great. We have been successfully using the Ipad version for eleven months. It is user-friendly, especially in the apple environment. There have been minor updates, and the operational time has been 99.999% of the time. I love the ability to allow for remote troubleshooting; as an owner, this allows for flexibility in taken necessary time off work and not needing to be present to help my staff with technical issues. Vend’s software development is exceptional as they can work on integration and adapt to new programs with open coding. The app integration options are great, especially if you are a new business looking for a suite of products. I like the fourteen-day trial that allowed you to play with every aspect of the software, like a test drive of a car, which I have not been able to find in other POS vendors in our barber/beauty industry. A few times, I have experienced a few minor bugs after an update (like today). The technical team and their mobile development team had the necessary fix within minutes!! Technical response and service are outstanding.
