Positive reviews are fake. Firstly it ask you to place a credit card on screen to it can size itself, really? Then when you’re done it says sorry you must be doing something wrong and asks for personal info and email so they can help. The process is difficult but I had everything clamped and fixed so there was no shaking, it isn’t meant to work but rather get emails of people who need glasses so they can sell the list. **Developer response:** I'm so sorry to hear you have had this experience with our application. I’ve run through the reader prompts at least 4 times already and it never gives me my results. I’ve tried it logged into my account and still nothing - just a waste of time and effort ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2021-12-13, version 5.13.12* I tried to check my eye measurements but it kept giving me error and claiming my prescription was too strong (it isn’t) other apps worked for me ### 1/5 — Not user friendly *2021-10-31, version 5.13.8* It seems like it can’t scan the glasses no matter how times I try. It says it’s got it, and to hold it right there and then move the arms, and then? When it’s scanning the results after telling me to put my glasses back down? Asks if I’d like to ask for help. Hah. This seems pretty useless. If you shake a little too much, it’ll have you redo it again, and again until you get it right! I had a very hard time scanning the so called card to my computer, and I really don’t understand why you even have to hold up one of your personal cards. That makes no sense and it seems sketchy and scammy. My husband and I both tried to scan the thing with the dots and it would not scan at all to save our lives. So NOPE! It’s a complete bust. If you feel uncomfortable with using a personal card, you can always use any card wtih a magnetic strip like a gift card, library card, or a frequent shoppers card at a store. Thank you again! ### 2/5 — Inaccurate prescription *2021-06-18, version 5.12.0* I just got a new prescription and wanted to see how accurate this was. Followed all the guidelines to a t and it got my PD and cylinder correct, but the sphere was way off. I did this 3 times in a row, I got the wrong sphere measurement every time. Oddly it was the same incorrect value each time. I’d recommend if you don’t actually know your prescription to go get it checked by your eye doctor. I purchased a new pair of glasses online with a year-old prescription I hadn’t used before and it was ever so slightly off. It drove me crazy and I had to use it for about 2 months before I could get new glasses with a fixed Rx, which I just received a couple days ago. Everything was corrected by my doctor and my vision is now super sharp and comfortable. So all I’m saying is, it’s better to have it examined by a doctor than to be stuck with the wrong Rx.
