### 5/5 — Simple and elegant

*2024-11-01*

Thank you Nick for making an app dedicated to exactly what I needed without any bloat.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review and I'm glad it does what you need, regards Nick.

### 5/5 — Like a photo gallery

*2024-10-31, version 4.5.0*

Lots of options to look through but you can make the photo frame exactly how you want it. I’ve been looking for this kind of app for ages. Are there any more textures on the way?

### 5/5 — Reddit brought me here.

*2024-10-23*

Found this app while looking around Reddit. Once you’re happy with the result of one photo, you can have them ready in no time. Really enjoy the native settings.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review! - Nick

### 5/5 — Reddit brought me here.

*2024-10-20*

Found this app while looking around Reddit, once you’re happy with the result of one photo, you can have them ready in no time. Really enjoy the native settings. Would like to see the app icon be compatible with iOS 18.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review! Version 4.3.3 and earlier has an iOS 18 native icon with Dark and Tinted mode versions. The Dark mode icon doesn't have a fully black background if that's what you are noticing. Thanks again, Nick.

### 5/5 — Works as advertised

*2024-10-06*

A simple app that does exactly what it says it will. Works great.

**Developer response:** Thank you Andy! Glad to hear it's working well for you - Nick.

### 5/5 — Does it right!!

*2024-09-27, version 4.2.0*

I never write reviews but had to for this one. I do crops for Instagram stories for my photography and this app does everything I want in a no-nonsense package. Performance is great, and the options are clear and make good sense.

Clearly developed by someone who uses it themselves and has some sense not to bog it down with the common things that plague other photography apps these days to squeeze revenue.

One feature I’d like to suggest is the ability to change a canvas / frame / mat color to something precise. Either RGB / hex input or an eyedropper (or both!) would be greatly appreciated vs. the current color picker.

Thank you to the developer for doing the job right! Good work.

Update: Thanks for adding the features to the color picker so quick!! Loving it!

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2024-09-10, version 4.1.1*

This is just what I was chasing. Lots of options, styles and colours. Interface is logical and quality is not compromised when outputting images. Seems to have lots of updates which is a bonus 🤙

### 5/5 — Eres el mejor!

*2024-08-12*

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2024-06-23, version 3.6.0*

Finally a simple app that does one thing and does it well. Thank you Nick!
Could you please add a toggle in settings to turn off in-app haptics? Oh and “use last settings” doesn’t seem to work so i have to apply my preset every time. Still a 10/10 though

### 5/5 — Finally!

*2024-05-29*

I have been searching for an app just like this for ages. Simple way to add a small clean white border to an instagram 8x10 crop. One time purchase and not some monthly subscription. Easy to use and edit. This ticked all the boxes. Couldn’t be happier with this app.

**Developer response:** Thank you and glad this app does what you were needing!

### 5/5 — Time Saver!

*2024-05-14*

Amazing for on the fly content creation for those who don’t want to be lugging a whole laptop or tablet around, develop your photos in any aspect ration you’d like, send them to your cloud storage and run them through here to add an “Instagram Safe” aspect ration while keeping all you photo in frame. Note: I haven’t notice hardly any compression, as that can be adjusted through the settings so good on the developer for that!

**Developer response:** Thank you Drewen! That was the goal. Have all the settings just do the magic for you like you might in Photoshop, but with a tiny app. As for compression, I've found that 80% JPEG compression level has always been almost indistinguishable from original images for most use cases.

### 5/5 — Finally a simple app to put white borders on photos!

*2024-05-09*

It works! Simple elegant app to put white borders on your fotos. I e been searching for years! Multiple sizes, hi-res exports, perfect!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review! Glad you've found it does what you need - Nick.

### 5/5 — Very useful!

*2024-04-16*

Excellent app, purposeful, really responsive developer, nice features in the pipeline, super value for the money — all apps should be this price.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review Brxs!

### 5/5 — No other app like it!

*2024-04-16, version 3.3.0*

This app is SO COOL! I’m an artist and I’ve had to faff around with design programs to see what a painting or drawing would look like in a frame but with this, I can do it so quickly and the results look shmick 🙏🏼👌🏼 it’s so customisable and I love all the new features ❤️

### 5/5 — 11/10 would recommend.

*2024-03-27, version 3.1.0*

Easy to use interface, lots of options. Although I go for the minimalist look. Great for square framing for Instagram.

Don’t download it

**Developer response:** Hi, I would like to understand your review (I'm assuming it may be about the free trial). Please use my feedback form if you have time at https://www.nickbedford.com/like-a-frame-feedback.

### 2/5 — Not as advertised

*2024-03-07*

Bought this to simply add a white frame to photos. This doesn’t seem to be possible even though the developer said it was. On top of that any photo I save that’s a portrait it for some reason ends up in my photo library sideways which requires you to rotate it to the left in editing and then the ratio is all messed up. Would like a refund on the .99 I spent

**Developer response:** Hi, my apologies for the issue you were facing with the rotated images. This was a bug in an update that was then fixed in a subsequent update recently and is also fixed in the 3.0 version that has just been released. Like A Frame works in a different way to other "photo border" apps as its designed around a canvas with your framed photo on that wherever you want to place it. You can still achieve a simple photo border by using the Canvas > Match Photo & Crop option, athough it works slightly different again given the nature of the app's canvas based design. If you would still like a refund, you can request one through Apple here: https://reportaproblem.apple.com/?s=6

### 3/5 — 🥺

*2024-10-25*

Quality of communication applications 1080:30 Very bad

**Developer response:** Hi, when using the 1080px Share resolution, make sure to turn on "Share Resolution Using Width" in Settings to make sure it's exporting at 1080px wide (not 1080px on the longest side). This is going to be automatic in version 4.3.7 released soon. If you have issues with image quality, please use the "Like A Frame Feedback" page at https://www.nickbedford.com/like-a-frame-feedback.

### 4/5 — 🥺

*2024-10-19*

There is no transparent background There is no tilt in the 3D image

**Developer response:** Hi there, if you go to the Canvas setting, then tap the RGB colour picker then pull the opacity down to zero (or less than 100%) it will save as a transparent PNG format with a transparent background. Make sure there is no BG texture applied. As for tilt, this app does not work in 3D, only two graphics.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2024-09-07*

I just wish you could select from multiple defaults/presets like it says you can (but i can’t figure out how) Biggest thing is there MUST be an undo button, that’s inexcusable to not have one. Also when you try to do many images at a time it will put them back in your photos out of order, completely random order, i wish it was in order SOMEHOW!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review and feedback. The Undo/Redo feature is now implemented in 4.3.0. If you wish, please use the Report Issue or Suggestion button on the about screen (bottom of start screen) regarding the multiple defaults/presets to clarify what you mean. Thanks again, Nick.

### 4/5 — Very underrated and does exactly what I wanted

*2024-08-25*

Found this app through a Reddit thread and decided it was worth a dollar to just try out, especially compared to some competitors that are subscription only. I only wanted it to add padding to images for Instagram posts, which it does very well, but it is even more versatile than that if you’re looking for more. One thing that was great is I was able to save default settings and super quickly apply those settings to batches of images, the main thing I was hoping it could do. Export quality options are very diverse, and export quality is very good. 10/10 for those features alone.

A few small issues I’ve noticed as I’ve used the app:

When I select a batch of photos to apply the default settings to and export, it exports them in a (seemingly) random order, not the order they originally appeared in my camera roll. Not the worst thing ever, but slightly inconvenient.

When I click ”Create many from preset” in the main menu, it works with the default settings, but every time I click the “+” where it says “Save presets in the editor to use them here” the app crashes. Not sure if I’m selecting too many photos at once, or if that feature is still in the works.

Lastly, I created a folder in my library for the pictures from the app to export to, but they only export to that folder when done one by one, not as a batch. This could also be user error, and is not a dealbreaker by any means.

Overall the app is very much worth at least $1.

**Developer response:** Hi Kardonian! Thanks for the review. I greatly appreciate it. The batch album and "Save presets tap" bugs have been fixed and will be released in v4.1.1. Thanks for letting me know! - Nick.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-01-26*

Been using it for years. My only complaint is it’s missing HDR support. Still deserves 5 stars though.

**Developer response:** Thank you Trevor! Glad to hear you've enjoyed it for that long. That is a good idea actually. I'll have to look into how I could support HDR images/output. - Nick

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for

*2025-11-02*

Add a frame without losing resolution. Perfect .

Did exactly what I needed in a hurry (quick border). Looks like a lot more functionality, too. Controls feel intuitive.

### 5/5 — Amazing

Found this app on Reddit from the creator and it is literally perfect. Never bought an app so fast in my life!

### 5/5 — Sometimes you just need an app to do one thing and do it well

*2025-01-20*

We wanted to text a photo to our friends' group and wanted it to have a little extra punch. We looked for ways to add a nice frame around a picture and found it surprisingly difficult. We tried Like A Frame, and in no time we had a nice “thank you” photo that we could send to our friends. It took a bit of time to learn a few of the features, but overall, the user interface is quite easy to use and well laid out. For example, moving text is as simple as dragging it with your finger. Again, Like A Frame does one thing and does it well!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the review and great to hear you were able to send a thank you photo to your friends using Like A Frame to put it together! - Nick.

### 5/5 — Nicely featured and layed out

*2024-12-16, version 5.3.2*

It can really elevate your photos, it’s got some nice customisation and can digitally frame and mount for favourite pictures.
