Learn any language through the films, series, podcasts and YouTube videos you already love. Most language apps give you boring, preset exercises. LILA is different: you bring your own video, audio file or YouTube link, and LILA turns it into a personalised lesson — sentence by sentence, at your own pace. FREE TO START Download LILA for free and start right away: two built-in demo lessons, one video and one audio project of your own, and up to 10 flashcards per project. Everything else unlocks with a single lifetime purchase — no subscription, ever. HOW IT WORKS Import any video or audio file in any language. LILA loads its subtitles (or creates them with on-device speech recognition), then lets you practise dictation on every line. Miss a word? The sentence replays automatically so you can listen again and try once more. Move forward only when you're ready. WHAT MAKES LILA UNIQUE • Your content, your pace — practise with the exact scenes you find interesting, not generic textbook sentences • YouTube as learning material — paste a link and practise with the video's own subtitles (Premium) • Auto-replay — each subtitle line replays as many times as you need before you answer • Voice answers — speak the sentence out loud and LILA transcribes and scores it, hands-free • One-tap flashcards — save any word directly from your listening session • Camera vocabulary scanner — point the camera at any book page; OCR reads the text and AI picks the words worth learning (Premium) • Apple Intelligence grammar notes — on-device AI explains verb conjugation, irregular forms, gender, and usage for every flashcard. No internet. No data sent anywhere. • AI quiz — one AI-generated question per saved word (Premium) • Custom flashcard decks — build your own decks, by hand or from the camera (Premium) • Spaced repetition — the Leitner system shows hard words more often and easy words less • On-device translation — translate flashcard meanings into your native language instantly • Subtitle editor — import SRT files or edit subtitle timing inside the app • Progress tracking — see your accuracy sentence by sentence as you improve • Folders and project sharing — organise projects and share them between devices (Premium) • iCloud and file backup — back up and restore all your data any time (Premium) LILA PREMIUM — ONE PURCHASE, YOURS FOREVER Unlimited projects and flashcards, YouTube import, camera scanning, AI quiz, custom decks, sharing and backup — all with one single purchase. No subscription. No recurring fees. And if you bought LILA when it was a paid app, you keep Premium automatically — forever. PRIVACY FIRST Everything stays on your device.
