The company will only talk to you if you are the installer and when your installer goes out of business you are screwed. I do not recommend this company that doesn’t help their customers. ### 1/5 — Crashes *2019-01-04* App crashes every time it’s opened. The images shown are stuck from 3 months ago. ### 1/5 — Rubbish app and rubbish CCTV system *2018-11-27, version 1.0.90* Bought a LILIN CCTV system but the app doesn’t play back and the whole system doesn’t work on a MAC. It thinks about adding the camera then the app closes. Or it freezes and I have to force close. They need to fix this fast if they want my business. Sort the bug out as it is a bug, as all my work colleges have different iPhones and they have the same problem ### 1/5 — Lacking everything necessary BAD BAD BAD *2017-05-23* I have never had a worse experience with a camera/door station system in my life. Lilin needs to catch up with the times and improve their functionality and reliability. Don't even think about touching the video door station. It flat out doesn't work especially if you want basic functionality as in push notifications when someone is at the door. (Any cheap video door station does this) main feature of this product and they lost this since April 2. That is still not solved. The audio to talk to the door does not work from the app. The app itself you have to back out of a single image to get to the next image. There is no swiping the screen to get to he next image. This is just a pain to use. Cameras cost way too much for their quality. Customer service sure doesn't have any care in the world for their small dealers. They need to take some lessons on some of the reputable companies out there and get their systems functioning how they should be. The cameras are functioning well however I can never view anything in real time or without a significant delay unless I look it up on the tv. Alarms don’t populate as they should. Everything needs to be research to find why it’s not working properly yet there’s never an answer or solution. ### 1/5 — App stopped working several days ago? *2020-09-02* I would rate this app higher but it has stopped working all together. Set up is painful. Adding the settings to fields makes the screen go black so you have to do it in multiple stages and reopen every time Playback just says ‘loading’ and then never does Just unbelievable how you can get something so wrong. And surely someone tested this rubbish? ### 1/5 — Avoid MERIT-LILIN Hardware *2019-08-31* Just like other reviewer‘s, we purchased this hardware just expecting that the supporting software would be at least adequate. It is wholly inadequate and all we get is promises of upgrades… Yet it has been two years and nothing has been updated. AVOID THIS MANUFACTURER UNTIL THEY UPDATE THEIR WEB AND MOBILE SOFTWARE. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2019-06-27* Worst App ever. We have had these cameras almost 3 years and have waited for updates and nothing has changed. Unable to do playback from App makes it quite useless. Ability to playback and review footage can only be done on Computer. They should do away with the App because it adds no value!!!! Very disappointing, had we known no updates would be in the pipeline, we would have never went with their cameras!!!!! ### 1/5 — Horrible *2019-06-12* App is pretty bad as others have stated. The interface for doing playback makes absolutely no sense. Camera groups are preconfigured. Example I have 7 cameras, but there is no 7 option. So I have to select 8 cameras and see a screen that doesnt connect to anything. In addition even if I select 8 cams, eventually it switches to 12 cams for some reason. Cameras work in setup and test okay ! No video in any view or playback. Often had issues with video loss Not the most intuitive of apps. I had to delete a few times and re-do everything when I have pressed tabs that have done unexpected things. Would be nice to have some form of geo fencing so one had control of alarms being raised. One one sound available for alarms etc ### 2/5 — Where do I start... *2017-09-02, version 1.0.80* App is NOT intuitive at all. You have to randomly hit buttons to see what it does. Not a great start. If you open multiple devices and update app settings it can crash the NVR. You cannot from the app add notifications for different Group settings - you either have notifications on or off from the app. Alternative is to dial into each camera separately. Not great. The app doesn't allow you to customise notifications so same sound for doorstation bell ring as camera motion alert which is the same sound as a notification in a hundred other apps you have running on your IOS phone... App also crashes NVR box. I've got everything plugged into router direct bypassing dumb switch. I'm not sure this delivers in the promise. I think field testing has been limited but happy to be part of it if! ### 2/5 — Lacking necessary features *2015-09-12* For live video, it's fine. For playback, not so much. There's no time stamp or scrubbing option on video, which means if you want to check video from 6pm to 8pm, it will take you two hours to go thru it.
