Your personal aurora forecast folds the live Kp index, your geomagnetic latitude, cloud cover, moonlight and darkness into a single visibility verdict, updated as conditions change. TONIGHT'S ANSWER, FIRST THING • The verdict for your exact spot now opens the app, instead of sitting behind the globe on the next tab • It no longer goes missing when the aurora map's own data is down A MESSAGE EVERY EVENING • New: one message before dark, saying whether tonight is worth going outside for and what's spoiling it if it isn't • Most nights it will say no. That is the point: it saves you the drive • Switch it on from the card on a quiet night, or in Settings, under Notifications A MORE HONEST VERDICT • A bright moon no longer writes off the whole night.
