It’s a shame to lose this as my second brain. The lifelong times are all over the place out of order. Transferring is a pain and works maybe half the time. If the app opens and lets me use it (brand new iPhone 16 pro), all that’s worth using is copy paste into a stable llm. ### 1/5 — No longer viable *2026-01-04, version 2.0.5* Hardware has become landfill refuse. Meta purchased the company, which means the “privacy first” aspect is gone. Meta is a data collection company. Without keys to unlock the firmware, we can’t build anything interesting for it. Company sold out and is now owned by Meta. It stopped working two weeks ago. The app does not load on my phone, and the pendant itself is useless without it. I’m awaiting Support to fix the issue however that too is taking time. This would’ve been a five star review if I hadn’t had the technical issues I’m suffering now. I feel like I’ve wasted $300. Unfortunately now the pendant is a paperweight. If you are outside the US don’t update as it blocks your device immediately. Couldn’t even access my previous data. The problem is Meta has acquired and the company is sunsetting its software. I only had my pendant for 6 months after paying for it and now it’s useless. The email I used is not populating my subscription and they just keep suggesting I transfer subscription from one email to the other. I regret buying a Limitless pendant because I was considering using Plaude, Pocket, or Limitless and the moment I purchased it, Dan sold his company to Meta and abandoned this project. I have still been trying to use the recorder, but there are so many bugs in the app that my critical recordings are lost and the interface is not useful. I recently went to a three day conference for my company and used the pendant to record important conversations with potential prospects. The app said that those recordings were syncing and then they disappeared. This was a terrible thing to do to all of Limitless’s customers who invested in the Kickstarter or purchased the pendant or a subscription. Since META purchased the company no longer any privacy protections. The pendant is now a bad paperweight. Took 3 emails to get my account and data erased. I also never accepted new “privacy” terms. —- Loved the pendant. Paying for unlimited but as of late it’s barely usable. App freezes 9 out of 10 times and is basically useless. It says it is limited due to my location. I can find no way of determining what is causing this. It automatically creates reminders for all those random things I promise people I will do in the middle of the day, and then promptly forget. The app captures transcripts quickly and relatively accurately. The names features still needs work; often voices are mislabeled. But overall, I find this app and pendant are indispensable. ### 5/5 — Love the pendant! *2025-11-01, version 2.0.1* I backed the pendant on Kickstarter and use it when meeting up with friends (and use the Mac app for work calls too). Love getting a summary of real-world chats while out with friends, reminders of things that I said they’d do, and to be able to search for info that I’d forgotten from past conversations. Game-changer for memory recall. ### 5/5 — Great app/device for seniors! *2025-10-31, version 2.0.1* I am retired and in good health, however, I have started to forget fine points in a conversation at a doctor appointment, or the items that I need to get at the grocery store, and especially remembering the names of a new family that just moved in next door. The app creates a text of my conversations on my iPhone. I can review it and even search it to find specific details. The setup is quick so it can identify my voice. I recently searched the information from a conversation at church. Seeing the text in small segments helped me find the exact information I needed. Summaries are very helpful and the app lends itself to a surprising range of new uses as I go on using the pendant. ### 5/5 — Future and present *2025-07-20* I bought the pendant with the intent to safeguard current data (audio from daily life) since it will be gold data to be use for my benefit in near future. But i get so much value from pendant, insights from behaviors of mine i was if ignoring, a tool to recollect important information said in the past and countless other examples. But above all the strongest point for limitless is that they ship new features all the time. The app has its flaws (transcriptions could improve, reminders still dont work, other peoples voice recognition could be better) but after using it for three months that was a bunch of other stuff that sucked that they fixed and they keep improving. The limitless pendant is the best thing that has happened to my tech life after the iPhone. I get exposed because of my job too very useful information and my pendant is now present and captures everything. It is not always easy to extract the information because the application is not built to work well with the voice over screen reader. That hasn’t stopped me because where there is a will there is always a wayThe API allows me the freedom to find the info I need instantly, for now and until the situation gets better. Overall, I find my pendant a valuable daily companion and the accompanied app is sitting on my dock. Thank you for what you've made.
