### 3/5 — Linear is great, app a little confusing

*2026-09-03*

Love linear so much. But the mobile app is a little confusing. The most common confusing flow is in on an issue and I want to edit it, I have to go to the more menu and find edit, but I keep wanting to press on the button that creates a new issue since it looks like an edit button

### 3/5 — So buggy

*2026-07-27*

I like linear in general and the website is working well but the app is so full of bugs it is annoying. Please QA your stuff or use it yourself.

### 3/5 — A little confusing

*2026-07-25, version 1.82.0*

Overall, the app seems great and fun to use although I’ve noticed a few little hiccups with voiceover nothing terribly serious. Some things might be unlabeled or such but most everything is navigable and able to be gotten around.

### 3/5 — Great AI integration- Hard to find issues if you are human

*2026-07-12, version 1.80.0*

It’s not as user friendly as Asana, but better for AI, so I don’t have a choice until something better comes along.

### 5/5 — Linear is awesome

*2026-07-09, version 1.79.0*

Linear is the best planning, project management and ticket system for the AI age

### 5/5 — Just found this thing it’s great

*2026-07-03, version 1.79.0*

Every tool I looked at for project management gave me a headache doing simple things. I don’t want to spend hours build a console or for every new thing I want to do and teaching people. Like I tried notion, what a fiddle, click up I do like like but the building and forcing people to use a certain way. This is simple if you want simple and complicated when you need it and can do everything logically and looking nice and intuitively. You can just get straight down to it and adapt without problem as you go along. Exactly what I like. Plus you can plug in your AI and talk to it to do stuff or ask its AI questions. It’s a quality product that also scales in so many ways with so many integrations. 👍🏾

### 3/5 — Unusable on mobile, great otherwise

*2026-07-03, version 1.79.0*

It’s a good piece of software on desktop, but on iOS it’s unusable. Impossible to paste things where you want them in a ticket due to the cursor positioning on tap not working very well. Would love to see this fixed pretty please

### 5/5 — Best Project Tracker and it’s not close

*2026-06-29*

We’ve tried asana, trello, jira, and now linear. None compare to linear! I do wish the app had a few more features the website has but it’s super snappy so I can’t complain too much!

### 5/5 — Clean, Fast, and Built for Execution

*2026-06-27*

As a founder, I’ve used a lot of project management tools. Linear is the first one that feels designed for how high-performing teams actually operate.

It’s fast, intuitive, and keeps the focus on execution. We use Notion for strategy, GitHub for development, and Linear as the system that turns decisions into action. Nothing gets lost, and everyone knows what comes next.

The interface is clean, the workflows are thoughtful, and the GitHub integration is excellent.

If you’re building a company and value clarity, accountability, and speed, Linear is an outstanding tool.

### 3/5 — Does not always sync correctly

*2026-06-26, version 1.78.0*

Often times I’ll create a project or issue and it’ll just not show up on the ui until the app is force restarted.

### 5/5 — Clean, Fast, and Built for Execution

*2026-06-24, version 1.77.0*

### 3/5 — It’s OK

*2026-06-18, version 1.77.0*

Certain devices, OSes, conditions etc. tend to create more memory/suspension pressure which is fine, but without iOS state restoration I hardly ever return to the context/issue etc. I was in. Not amazing for flow.

### 2/5 — Very buggy UI when using the iPad with Magic Keyboard

*2026-06-13, version 1.76.1*

The floating text editor buttons is very buggy. Needs to be reworked. Weird animations, UI elements just disappearing. Poorly done and not thought out.

### 5/5 — The best app ever

*2026-06-05, version 1.75.0*

Vibe coders create platform from the mind not idea.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2026-08-03, version 1.83.0*

App doesn’t work on mobile

### 1/5 — Cant see all issues

*2026-07-30, version 1.83.0*

Cant see all issues

### 1/5 — Not just mobile. The whole thing.

*2026-07-22, version 1.82.0*

This was clearly built using AI. It is so messy. There’s zero documentation for Azure. Everyone except the decision maker hates this app.

### 1/5 — Login per Code klappt nicht

*2026-07-13*

Login per E-Mail OTP: mit Outlook kommt die E-Mail an, kopiert von dort - funktioniert nicht. Abgetippt - funktioniert nicht.

### 1/5 — Missing many important features

*2026-06-29, version 1.78.0*

The app is missing so much functionality. Even things as basic as grouping by Label on Views. This is all possible on the web app even on mobile, but not the iOS app…

### 1/5 — Bad UX, clean UI

*2026-06-17, version 1.76.1*

I can tell a lot of work was put into making the UI visually appealing. However, it does not appear they put that same emphasis for UX. The mobile app is not straightforward at all and is much less simple than it could be. I only use this for notifications now… the desktop interface is significantly better.

### 1/5 — buggy app

*2026-05-11*

terrible app. nothing works on phone. desktop version great tho

### 1/5 — Big linear fan - 1.70.0 doesn’t even advance beyond the splash screen

*2026-04-29, version 1.70.0*

Downloaded 1.70.0 on my iPhone 14. Does not go past the splash screen. No auth method buttons, no nothing. Just hangs. Linear has a brand based around high quality software. This is extremely disappointing and tablestakes to say the least. Please fix, and I’ll update my rating, thanks team

### 1/5 — Left side bar from hell

*2026-04-14, version 1.68.0*

What are they doing not allowing us to collapse the left side bar and hide it. The entire app is incredibly constrained. This is such a bad misstep. Didn’t expect this from linear.

### 1/5 — Terrible iOS support...

*2026-04-13, version 1.68.0*

It's slow, clunky, I am unable to access all the status option available to my project, it's nearly impossible "save" after making edits.... the list goes on... Absolutely terrible in its current state, which is inexcusable for how long Linear has been on the market as a productivity and tracking tool.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Right interface

*2026-09-02, version 1.88.0*

Simply the greatest plunging

### 5/5 — Linear is awesome

*2026-08-27, version 1.86.0*

One of the most useful apps I’ve had for tracking bugs and issues. I use this daily and it works!

### 5/5 — Love it

*2026-08-12, version 1.84.0*

Best task manager by far and not just for dev teams. I use Linear in my personal life and projects as well lol.

It would be nice to have Kanban view on mobile though. Other than that I can’t complain

### 5/5 — The Best

*2026-08-12, version 1.84.0*

Linear is just so flipping nice. Thanks for everything Design, Eng, and Product does over there to show how much you care about the quality of your work.

### 5/5 — World-Class

*2026-07-24, version 1.82.0*

Incredible piece of software. Worth every penny.

### 5/5 — Best app out there

*2026-07-22*

One of the best pieces of software that I’ve ever used

### 5/5 — Beautify app

*2026-07-21, version 1.81.0*

Every day user for 5 years

### 5/5 — Runs my entire AI dev workflow

*2026-07-14, version 1.80.0*

I’m a solo founder building a startup with a small team of AI agents (Claude, Devin, Goose) no employees, and Linear is the coordination layer that holds it all together.
Every issue is the definition of done for the AI agents, decision gets logged as a dated comment before anything gets built, and the delegate field lets me dispatch autonomous coding sessions without touching a terminal. Threaded comments mean I can review and approve an agent’s plan from my phone before it writes a line of code. It’s become less of a project tracker and more of the actual source of truth for how the whole operation runs.
Love linear and that it’s an opinionated system. Additional features added every week as far as I keep discovering.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2026-07-09, version 1.80.0*

A lighter experience compared to desktop but has all essentials for on the go.

### 5/5 — Game Changer

*2026-07-09, version 1.79.0*

This is the future of work tracking
