But i can’t do my full scenes (anyone who’s done grease the musical will get this- it’s scenes are lonnng) and I honestly don’t want to pay money for a show I worked hard to get in! I think the app is a good idea- just money! ### 3/5 — Paid, but didn’t get linelearner app *2023-09-24* I paid the extra to get the full version, but it just allowed me to put more lines into the line learner lite app, so I have to pay again for the full app with characters etc? Update: I figured it out. The line learnerlitw app appears to run with the full functionality now that I found out how to get to it, but deleting lines is nearly impossible. I found myself just recording the fastest blip of silence I could instead of trying to delete. ### 3/5 — Glitchy but useful *2022-03-09* The app is infuriating when I try to delete a line or a scene- it doesn’t register my swipe left to delete. I close the app, reopen, and nothing happens. I was able to delete once, in the past, but I don’t know what allowed me to do it. Just lucky I guess. There are a lot of helpful features that are hard to figure out at first, but can be really useful when you get it down. ### 2/5 — Bien dans l’ensemble mais... *2020-12-20* Cette appli est simple et très bien faite. En revanche problème lorsqu’on est plus de 2 personnages dans une scène 🤨 quand j’enregistre ma ligne, bien que j’appuie sur stop après ma réplique, il y’a un long silence avant de pouvoir écouter la réplique du 3ème personnage. J’ai beau chercher, appuyer très vite sur stop après ma réplique puis enchaîner l’enregistrement de la réplique du 2ème partenaire, il y’a toujours ce blanc, le temps de ma réplique est plus long que ce qu’elle ne dure réellement. Love this app it’s so handy but I really don’t want to pay again... ### 3/5 — Great app...ugly, primitive UI *2018-01-27* Functionally, this is awesome. There isn’t another app (that I can find) like this. It’s not entirely intuitive but thumbs up to the developer for including concise instructions. Once explained, it was pretty easy to setup with only a little confusion. It would be helpful if I could Scrub through the lines. With time markers. I have a lot of monologues and need to rewind as I go along. I will have to just re-record my lines in installments to achieve this. The tortoise and hair thing is fairly useless for me. And there’s no way to tell what the normal speed is once you move it. And the app needs an ability to skip back and forth between lines. The Scene Headers need to respond to touch. It took me some time to figure out the Scene was engaged and ready for me to record. But because the app did nothing when I tapped it, I wasted time trying to figure out why it wasn’t working. Thought that maybe the app had frozen... The graphics, colors, font and layout are very unattractive. It’s cluttered. When I opt to see the scene index, the app can’t even display the full text. It would be nice to have a couple different avatars or at least the ability to choose different colors for each character. I’ve tapped the wrong character a few times when recording. Their names are so small in the font, it be even easier to identify them also by their own assigned color. Because of the extra steps caused by this app’s limitations, I have to take. I really could just use one of the more robust recording apps that offers file organization to achieve the same. The Character feature really is what sets the app apart the most from others, but at the end of the day that feature isn’t entirely essential. Not that I don’t appreciate it, because I do! But the really essentially parts of this app are what really need some extra attention and improvement. But, it is a good app. A good start, for sure! ### 1/5 — Worthless *2018-01-03* You can only enter ten lines. Now tried to upload another one and it wants me to pay again. Not impressed with this. Your ratings are going down and this is the main reason. I paid the once off cost and glad I did. I take my phone on walks and listen to the play using the prompts for my lines. Peter has been great helping me out when I had some issues. ### 5/5 — Good for free *2025-09-14* For a free software it helps me learning my lines. I think about upgrading if I need more functions. But the basic is enough for basic stuff. :) ### 5/5 — So helpful! *2024-04-24* I have only just downloaded this app, but I have learnt nearly all my lines in 2 days. I was recommended this app by a friend who uses it for every show they are in. It helps you to know your cues and learn your lines. My favourite feature is that you can make it leave gaps for your line and then the other roles line comes in. You can also speed it up or slow it down depending on how much you know your script. So far I’m very happy ! ### 5/5 — Quick, easy and mega useful! *2023-04-05* Just started using this for a script I’ve had to learn fast and it’s so much easier than trying to record it all on voice recorder apps and badly judging the gaps for my lines. Obviously you can record you self with the app voice recorder but this just makes it easier. As an amateur actor, I find it’s by far the easiest way to learn your lines. I’ve recommended it to every other actor I know, amateur and professional, and they all swear by it. It uses whatever your phone is connected to for the audio so I’ve been practising in the car, with my wireless headphones on the train and linked up to a bluetooth speaker. I can’t praise this highly enough. Just brilliant. ### 5/5 — Essential! *2018-01-05* I have used this (well, the full version, which I added as an in-app purchase) for four shows and I really don’t know what I’d do without it! I recommend just buying the full version, even if you try this version first, rather than just upgrading.
