## What is LineLedger?

LineLedger helps journeyman linemen keep the company honest.

Track who you work for, log your hours (by voice if your hands are full), and upload your labor agreement, pay stubs, NEAP statements, and foreman time sheets. Then let LineLedger read your actual contract and check whether you were paid right.

WHAT IT DOES
• Reads your labor agreement (PDF) and answers plain-English questions about it — overtime, per diem, travel, meal penalties, classifications, and more.
• Audits a pay period against the contract and flags where you might be getting shorted — pay AND benefits (pension/annuity like NEAP, health & welfare like Lineco).
• Upload your quarterly NEAP or Lineco statement and it checks the hours the fund was told against the hours in your book, month by month.
• Fund Rules: tell LineLedger how NEAP, NEBF, Lineco and your local's funds are paid under your agreement — per hour worked or a percent of gross — or let it read them off the agreement for you to confirm.
• Fix-it Check: when a contractor makes a short check right, see whether the funds got what they were owed, or whether "8 hours straight" came back as "4 hours double time" and left NEAP and Lineco four hours short. Shows the hall's working dues too.
• NEAP statements by payroll month: copy the contributions table and LineLedger turns each month's dollars back into hours against the days you logged, and flags money that came in late or a month that never got reported.
• Uses the rate in effect for the dates you worked, and the rules in YOUR agreement — not generic assumptions.
• Log hours fast: straight time, overtime, double time, per diem, and missed meals.
• Voice-to-text for logging in the field.

BUILT FOR THE JOB
• Dark, simple, big buttons — usable with gloves on.
• No account and no sign-up — your ledger lives on your phone.
• To answer a question or audit a period, LineLedger sends that contract text and pay data to its AI provider. Prefer to keep everything local? Switch to the on-device model in Settings and nothing leaves your phone.

LineLedger is a helper, not legal advice, and it can make mistakes. Always verify anything important with your local union hall or business rep before acting on it.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-09-12

Fixes a bug that could report a shortage that wasn't there — or miss a real one.

LineLedger reads your NEAP rate off the wage table in your own agreement now,
one row per effective date, so an April check is judged at April's rate instead
of whatever rate was current the day you first read the agreement.

If the table can't tell which row is yours — an apprentice, an equipment
operator, a footnoted classification — the app says so and asks you for the
rate off your fringe sheet, instead of guessing.

And when a rule you've OK'd doesn't match what your agreement's wage schedule
prints for that day, LineLedger stops and shows you both instead of picking one.
It never changes or deletes a rule you've confirmed.

### 1.5 — 2026-09-09

Fund Rules now reads your NEAP rate.

Plenty of agreements never print the NEAP rate in a sentence. Ours gives a minimum and then points at the wage exhibit in the back — and that is where the real number lives, different for a journeyman, a foreman, a general foreman, a groundman, an operator and every apprentice period.

LineLedger now reads that table. Hit Read Agreement and it fills in the NEAP rate for your own classification, and tells you which effective-date column it came from so you can check it against your fringe sheet before you confirm it.

It also stopped losing funds to a page footer. On a long agreement the footer gets pulled into the middle of a sentence, and it was splitting the NEAP heading away from its own clause. That is why NEAP came back empty while Lineco HRA came through fine.

When your classification carries a footnote in the agreement, or the app cannot read a number cleanly, it says so and asks you to type it instead of guessing. A wrong rate is worse than no rate when you are checking your own paycheck.

### 1.4 — 2026-09-07

Fund Rules now reads your agreement properly.

• Read from agreement was hit and miss. On the same contract it could come back with a different set of funds each time, and NEAP usually never came back at all. Three separate causes, all fixed.
• The page footer your contract repeats on every page was landing in the middle of sentences, which broke any clause running across a page break. LineLedger strips it now — and re-reads the agreements you already uploaded, so there is nothing for you to redo.
• When a fund's rate lives only in a wage table — NEAP almost always does — you now get the fund and how it is figured, and you type the rate off your fringe sheet. Before you got nothing at all for that fund.
• A clause that starts "HRA:" is read as the HRA instead of being thrown away.
• Ask the same question twice and you get the same answer. That goes for the agreement chat and the pay audit too, not just Fund Rules.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-06

Catch the funds getting shorted, not just the check.

• Fund Rules — tell LineLedger how NEAP, NEBF, Lineco and your local's funds get paid under each contractor's agreement, or let it read the rules off the agreement and confirm them against your fringe sheet. Nothing counts until you flip "That's right".
• Fix-it Check — when a contractor makes a short check right, enter what the fix-it stub shows and see what each fund actually got. Eight straight hours paid back as four hours of double time squares the check and leaves NEAP and Lineco four hours short. Share the result with your business rep.
• Working dues — a fix coded outside gross never has the check-off taken out. LineLedger says when the hall is short too.
• NEAP statements by payroll month — copy the contributions table off your statement and each month's dollars are turned back into hours against the days you logged, with flags for money that came in late or a month that was never reported.
• The consent screen before anything leaves your phone now says exactly what goes out for each kind of check.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-05

NEW — Hours & Pay, rebuilt around your pay week
Your pay period is the week, Monday to Sunday. Log Today's Hours starts this week's period for you. The week you're in sits at the top; last week sits right under it with its own Attach Pay Stub — because the stub for last week shows up mid-way through this one. Tap any week to see every day, attach time sheets and the stub, and run the audit, all on one screen. All seven days are visible at once.

NEW — Benefits tab
Upload your quarterly NEAP or Lineco statement and LineLedger checks the hours the fund was told against the hours in your book, month by month. It only judges months that could actually have been reported by the statement date, so it never invents a shortfall out of a month that wasn't due yet.

Also: it says "business rep" now, everywhere it used to say "business agent."
