It shows on my phone that it’s connected, shows on the camera it’s connected, but when I try to access the camera or roll and it will say it’s disconnected. This was never an issue in the old version. Please fix this bug. To make matters worse, the app's barcode doesn't work, and setting up the camera through the touch screen is frustratingly confusing. If I'm away from my car, I can't access any of the videos on the app; I have to be sitting in the car and connected to WiFi. Trying to upload the footage to my laptop using the MC was a complete hassle. Overall, I can barely justify giving this product two stars. Why???? ### 1/5 — Leaves big amounts of data behind *2023-12-13* Camera works great, however, when uninstalling the app, it leave gigabytes upon gigabytes of system data behind with no way to get rid of it. Had to factory reset my phone to get rid of it all. Needless to say, it was a pain. I recommend just taking out the SD card and reading the files on your computer. Very pleased with how well it works! Easily connects and can play videos to my iPad and iPhone. Thing was easy to set up and the WiFi comes from the camera just like my drone. Omg, funny to read some of these. ### 5/5 — People don’t know how to use it *2023-10-22, version 1.7* There is a user manual on how to operate the device, I’m not a seller / the company making the device but if they had any understanding on how to operate it they wouldn’t have left low reviews. If you want to view it live/from your phone, the device emits a WiFi signal for you to connect to. WiFi isn’t only a building thing, it’s a means from getting data from endpoint to endpoint. If you wanted to view it raw you can also view it from the dash cam app, but if you wanted to view the files locally take the SD card out and insert it. The password for the WiFi is defaulted at 12345678, this worked for my D500 and D600. I feel bad for the developers of the app getting the one star reviews because of incompetence. ### 5/5 — I MUST AGREE 😊 GREAT LIL CAMERA *2023-09-25, version 1.6* I bought the camera a few days ago, Mine is front facing only. I have been testing it out an I must say for the amount of money paid I really can’t complain. It will loop record between 1-3 mins depending on your preference, and the video quality is amazing compared to some others I’ve seen. I will say that install was super easy!! Mount the camera using double sided tape already on camera, run wire around the dash so nobody sees it. An simply connect the device to your phone an your ready to roll. The GPS part is very accurate when I compare on screen speed to my actual speed. The only complaint I have about this app is that it does take forever to download a video so it will be added to your phone album but hopefully we don’t need to download many lol. ### 5/5 — One-star review doesnt know what they are talking about *2023-08-05, version 1.5* First of all, there is a wifi button on all of the dashcams made by LINGDU which allows you to connect to it to get the live feed, which is also mentioned in the user manual that they obviously didnt read 😂. Anyways, finally installed the 2-camera dashcam in my car and the setup was easier than i expected. Quality was great for the price, just wish the rear camera wasnt upside down but i can just flip the video myself with software. Overall great product 👍🏾👍🏾 ### 4/5 — Please add the CarPlay App *2025-07-16, version 2.2.0* Hi. It works fine, but I have to disconnect my iPhone from the Apple CarPlay each time I want to connect to the Dash Cam because Apple CarPlay also uses WiFi. It would be great if you added an Apple CarPlay app that would connect to the camera and show videos on the car screen. That would be a killer feature! 🙂 ### 4/5 — Good Car Security *2024-04-10, version 1.9* This camera, front and back, has been a little bit of a learning curve. My biggest problem is when I use the app, I cannot figure out how to completely erase certain recordings/clips. It only gives me an option to “download”. I don’t know if I have to connect the card to a computer via a reader to achieve my goal. It would be much better if the app allows me to delete all recordings/clips Also, when the camera speaks to me, I don’t understand what it saying But I will say it was easy to connect and install in my car for the minimal amount of driving I do this is exactly what I need There was a question about a minor accident where I hit somebody driver side mirror with passenger side mirror, and I was very happy that the camera on the car picked up the imagery and the sound beautifully I do have a sense of safety, knowing that there is audio and visual recordings every time my car is started. Again, though being able to delete certain things when I want to, and not understanding what the camera is saying when it talks to me, those are my two biggest complaints I don’t use the car driving the only thing it allows me to do is delete things from the SD card and retrieve things. The camera itself is easy to navigate. You just have to work with it. Although I will say the mileage per hour does not pop up. But I was happy that the date and time changed accordingly daylight savings time. ### 3/5 — Dash camera app *2025-03-16, version 2.1.0* Would be much better if you can use the app with the camera on record mode. Also the settings can be made more simple to use by having a grid on / off layout or something.
