It either cut off midway or for some reason and chose to type something completely different. As if it hadn’t heard what I had said and had made a guess at how I might reply. That you had to spend your time correcting it, and then gave up, is not the experience we want for anyone. When conversing with the Japanese speaking AI, in the chat box I was able to read its complete English translation, and the Japanese characters texted out. I asked the AI to write in Romaji in english, it did not work. Then I tried “Romaji, Kudasai”, the AI immediately complied and wrote everything in Romaji. No strict paywall yet. No issues for me like I saw in other reviews for this app. I can however read Hiragana and Katakana fairly well, no Kanji. My goal is to watch Japanese anime without subtitles. The Japanese AI sounds smooth and human. So far, great listening practice with an engaging speaking experience but you need to know basic sentence structure to engage with the AI. The AI won’t let you complete the short lessons(conversation) until you do the objective. This app is for those who are looking for a higher language level without a strict paywall. **Developer response:** Hello!
