Every word comes back on its own, right before you would have forgotten it, so the year actually adds up to something. Each course is a full 365-word year with its own progress, and you can switch whenever you like. The review card now walks you through each word: hear it, hear it in a sentence, reveal the meaning, then grade yourself. You can no longer grade a word you never listened to. Nothing plays on its own any more. Audio starts when you tap, and the mic button stops it whenever you want. Seven more languages now use real recorded voices instead of the phone's synthesiser. Plus a batch of wording fixes across the Spanish, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Chinese courses. ### 1.4 — 2026-09-01 Italian, Spanish and French are now read aloud by a recorded human voice, both the word and the example sentence. Learning English? The Spanish side of that course is recorded too. Settings is now clear about whether the natural voice has finished downloading, and offers to retry if it has not. Fixes a crash when opening a review session or Settings. ### 1.3 — 2026-08-28 Better pronunciation. Fifteen Italian recordings have been re-recorded — short words like "due", "chi" and "tu" that the old ones ran together. Corrections now reach you without re-downloading everything: the app checks each recording and fetches only what changed. And if you hear one that still sounds wrong, Settings has a new "Report a pronunciation" — tell us, and if we confirm it you get a free month of Premium. ### 1.2 — 2026-08-27 Ten new courses: learn English from Spanish, Italian, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Chinese or Hindi. The app now speaks your language. Choose the language you speak the first time you open it, and change it any time in Settings — the whole app follows, including the daily reminder and the home-screen widget. Fixes: Premium now shows correctly if you already own it, the widget stays up to date, and the meaning line in the replay is read in the right language. Real recorded voices: every word and example sentence is now spoken by a native speaker instead of the phone's synthesiser. It downloads by itself the next time you're on Wi-Fi. ### 1.1 — 2026-08-26 What's new in this update: • Get ahead.
