## What is Lingon?

Lingon helps you learn Swedish by reading real news from Sweden's biggest outlets. Instead of textbook exercises, you read actual articles from SVT, TV4, and Expressen.

Three reading modes let you adjust as you go. Start with full translations if you're a beginner, switch to side-by-side Swedish and English as you improve, or go full Swedish when you're ready. Swipe between them anytime.

Long-press any word to pull up the built-in dictionary. No app-switching, no copying and pasting. Just tap and get the definition right there.

When an article feels too advanced, tap Simplify. The AI rewrites it in shorter sentences with everyday vocabulary. Same topic, just easier Swedish.

Got questions about what you're reading? Open the chat and ask. The tutor explains grammar, breaks down tricky phrases, and quizzes you on vocabulary. It answers in whichever language you prefer. Free users get ten messages a day. Pro subscribers chat without limits.

Tap Read Aloud on any article to hear it spoken in Swedish. Pro users can pick from five Swedish voices and adjust the speed.

Translations work in English, Chinese, Arabic, French, and German. They run on-device by default, so you don't need an internet connection. Pro subscribers also get cloud translations as a fallback.
