Rats! I just bought this in spite of the mixed reviews on the sound and sure enough, no sound. And it's not an app that can go without sound like some others. Went to app support and it's just the general company website. Save your $2!

DO NOT BUY. This is a totally rubbish app. Appalling music and very few words for your child to learn. There is a much better app (albeit in iPhone standard) with 2000 words and quizzes. Much better and value for money. TAKE MY ADVICE.... AVOID.

Total mull. Echt dieses app ist das Geld nicht wert. Nicht genug worte zum lernen, und die musik dazu geht man richtig auf die nerven! Accent ist Americanisch.

items or animals don't react when toddlers leave their fingers on them. in this age not all kids can do the short klick.

My 1,5 year old call's it the "garbage" game, even though in the game the garbage is called "trash can".

Pros:
- My boy loves it!
- Animations are nice enough.

Cons:
- Long startup time, can't resume where you left off, will need to get back to the startup screen every time you want to continue!
- Buttons (objects on the screen) are really hard to tap for some reason, even for adults... Frustrating.
- There should be an option to turn off the music.
- A choice of alternate words per object would be useful.

I was looking for an amusing language school for my children to get in touch with German. This is an animated cute app to learn simple words like animals and toys, nature, transports and body parts. We love LinguPingu!

Super app thanks, my kids love it.  My only request is that you add the "der" "die" or "das" to the german words.  That would really help them long term.  Even my 2 yr old is going around saying "ich spreche Deutsch" after only a few days of having this app! Easy to use, great graphics, catchy tunes.  Number one app for my kids (2 and 4 yrs old).

Trying to teach my kids a little German so they can impress Oma and this is fun for them while they learn.  Heck my 3 year old just likes to watch the little animations when pressing an object. 
Whoever said there's no sound is a dummkopf.
