It’s a nice concept and works well for me, but it’s still mostly unknown in the US. I don’t know why that other reviewer is getting notifications from clubs so far away…that is not happening for me. ### 2/5 — Useful kernel marred by spam *2023-05-26, version 1.3.0* My club chose this service for organizing group rides. The premise is great: I can get a push notification if a group ride is canceled (well, the old system, where I got an email if a ride was canceled, worked well too but let’s set that aside). However I also get push notifications for random rides 3,000 miles away across the Atlantic Ocean. Utter crap. ### 5/5 — Hands down the best cycling app to meet new friends! *2023-02-22, version 1.1.6* What a fantastic app! I went to Girona a month ago for a week and hardly knew anyone so I created a gentle pre-work ride on Link My Ride. Despite it being a super early one, two people joined the ride and we’ve now remained friends and I look forward to riding with them on my return :) really cool features within the app that you don’t get anywhere else… so looking forward to seeing it take off! Have posted a couple myself. Deleted! ### 1/5 — Glitchy set up *2022-10-11, version 1.1.3* Was sent 105 links to verify my account (only requested this once!) whilst been told I had tried too many times?! Eventually it allowed me to continue and I then tried check the box to ensure no one could see my exact location but was not assured this was the case so deleted the app. Which is a shame. Concept is great but don’t feel secure and not encouraged by the major glitch. This app no longer works for new sign ups. ### 1/5 — GPX ISSUE - upload *2025-12-22, version 1.6.6* I would like to bring to your attention an issue I am experiencing when uploading GPX files. The problem is that the app doesn't consider GPX files compatible when creating a new ride even if they were sourced from Link My Ride. While I appreciate the Link My Ride platform, these ongoing issues are impacting my experience and are leading me to consider alternative solutions. I would appreciate your support in addressing this matter. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t pay employees. 1 star *2025-12-06, version 1.6.6* Title ### 1/5 — Doom Loop on account created *2025-09-16, version 1.6.6* Account created, but keeps looping to check your Inbox. Click on that “Where does your investment take us” mail and it only wants you to invest on Crowdcube. Several days trying with same result so it’s a pointless app that achieves nothing except a doom loop. Sorry, Tom Pidcock, but this is a fail out of the gate. ### 1/5 — Can’t sign up *2025-05-12, version 1.6.6* No sign up email received ### 1/5 — Email account verification is never received *2025-03-31, version 1.6.4* I’ve tried to access the app umpteen times over the last few months but for whatever reason I never receive the verification link for me email (and yes, I do check my junk ;-)) Sad, because it sounds like it would be great if I could get on! ### 1/5 — Scam! Doesn’t let you preview how useful it may be for your area without creating an account and sharing your location. Eg. There were zero rides and a total of six riders in my area so I’d have skipped even signing up. ### 1/5 — Crashes. Shows sponsored ahead of clubs you follow *2023-05-10, version 1.2.9* Shows what looks to be sponsored club rides from all over the world instead(in front) of the clubs I actually follow with no way of disabling it. I’m not interested in looking rides going on in other countries. Needs better tools for clubs for dealing with users set to private as ride creators cannot see those users. Being able to link routes from strava or RWGPS would be useful instead of the gpx file for those only using mobile devices. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — So easy to use *2025-07-03, version 1.6.6* Really easy to use.. best feature is to download / transfer routes to head unit within a few clicks no need for PC , love scrolling down to see what social rides I can jump on to.
