I see misinformation spread daily with no way now to report it, plus a rise (even by hr professionals) in gaining ways to determine the religion of people (presumably for screening purposes). It is also incredibly full of political posts with nothing to do with work. If you want yet another pointless social media to push political views, LI is fine. I used to get over 700,000 impressions a week plus from LinkedIn, but then they didn’t start liking my politics so they started cutting it back and warning me and deleting with no reason other than it didn’t meet their criteria because somebody complained. When a company posts a position and encourages people to apply, candidates should not simply disappear into a black hole. People invest significant time and effort applying for jobs, and being completely ignored is frustrating and unprofessional. LinkedIn should hold employers and recruiters to higher standards. If a position is posted, there should be a reasonable expectation that applications are actually reviewed and that candidates receive some form of communication. Professional networking should work both ways.
