## What is Linnea?

Linnea turns wild plants into a digital herbarium.

Take a close-up photo of a plant you find on a walk. Linnea identifies it, lifts the plant out of your photo, and turns it into a specimen of its own, with its name, the date, and the town where you found it. Every find takes its own numbered place in your collection.

WHAT MAKES LINNEA DIFFERENT

• Every photo becomes a specimen. You keep the original photo, the cutout, and a framed card for every plant.
• A herbarium that fills up. Watching the empty slots fill is the whole pleasure of it.

No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Your photos stay on your phone until you decide to share your collection. Location is saved as a town name only, never coordinates.

Linnea grew out of the Finnish school tradition of the kasvio, the pressed herbarium every schoolchild makes. It works in English and Finnish, anywhere plants grow.

Your plant list now loads quickly, with a photo and habitat tags on every row, and you see the finished list once you have imported it.

- Identifying a plant no longer hangs on a weak connection. It tells you what happened instead.
- Plant descriptions open much faster.
- Scanned lists recognise more names, including forms like "ketunleipä eli käenkaali" and plain genus names like "lemmikki".
- Names, dates and greetings written on the handout no longer end up on the list as plants.
- Press and hold a row to remove it.
