### 5/5 — Super Helpful!

*2022-09-07, version 2.1.1*

The organization of this app is going to help so much for photography and videography projects!!

### 4/5 — Clean and Functional

*2022-09-06, version 2.1.1*

Simple and effective is what the app seems like so far. Which is just what you need when planning a production. Can take a bit of effort to get used to but that because there are options to organize every part of your production which is awesome. Still exploring but so far it’s sick!

### 5/5 — Simple, fast, efficient!

*2022-09-06, version 2.1.1*

One of my favorite apps is “Things 3”. Love the simplicity of it as well as how fast it is when it comes to getting things out of my head and into my phone. Love it!!

### 5/5 — East to use, easy to learn

*2022-09-06, version 2.1.1*

Just used this app for a shoot today and it helped me stay confident, organized, and on track to get all the shots I needed. Super simple and dark mode looks beautiful.

### 5/5 — Easy to navigate, clean layout, SUPER helpful!

*2022-09-06*

I have a shoot coming up next weekend and I just downloaded this app at the perfect time. Been following Landon for awhile so I was stoked to see this production/planning app come out to help me on my shoots & projects. I’m a graphic designer and appreciate how clean, user-friendly, responsive, and aesthetically minimal this thing is. No fluff to it, not complicated to learn, but I love how detailed and intentional Shotlists is! I’m very excited to continue using this on more projects. Highly recommend downloading this and utilizing all the features (especially the mood boards!!), on your next project 😄🤘🏼

### 5/5 — Great Simple Tool for Filmmakers

*2022-09-06, version 2.1.1*

I’ve looked for a tool like this to organize myself before a shoot, but they were all a little too complex and tedious to set up. This app keeps organization simple and streamlined.

### 5/5 — Hix Creations - GO TO APP

*2022-09-05, version 2.1.1*

Loved being able to organize my gear and my shot list through this app. I’m able to separate my looks by project and organize every step of the production day! Totally would recommend!

### 5/5 — Best app for filmmakers!

*2022-09-05, version 2.1.1*

#1 app for filmmakers. Seriously. I’m always trying to find a way to keep track of my shoots and my gear and this app has it all in one place. Thanks for filling such a significant need in the industry!!

### 5/5 — Dope app no cap

*2022-09-05, version 2.1.1*

Won’t lie I usually have a hard time organizing all my shots and ideas but this app helped me out major! Not only did it help me organize my shots but helped me remember all my gear with the gear check list!

### 5/5 — Super clean and efficient!

*2022-09-05, version 2.1.1*

Simplicity is a big deal to me when it comes to running a project. And this app makes it easy for you to add in whatever gear or anything you need on your checklist with ease.

Used it once for a shoot as a “testrun”. But I already love it and will definitely be using it more!

### 5/5 — A life saver

*2022-09-05, version 2.1.1*

I wasn’t one to make shot list but this app has made it super easy to keep things organized and compiled together for any production. This app is a filmmaker must!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Decent till it Crashed/Deleted Info

*2023-09-22, version 2.2*

Was decent (buggy but workable) until it crashed and deleted all of the data I input right before a shoot. 🥲🫠 Bugs: for a while would only let me input shot descriptions one letter at a time, then the app would glitch and crash a few seconds later.

### 2/5 — Crash City

*2025-01-11, version 3.0.2*

I want to love this app. It has so much potential. But it either crashes or doesn’t work. It won’t let me add set ups to a shot. But it will let me add a camera. Which is kind of helpful, but not as helpful as it could be. If the bugs get fixed, this is an easy 4, maybe 5 star app.

### 2/5 — Subscription based

*2022-09-03, version 2.1.1*

App that doesn’t do a lot charges a monthly fee, no thanks.

If it was a 1 time purchase I would try it out.

Opened it, saw limitations, saw the price, uninstalled. Why does every app think I want to spend a monthly fee so I’m paying hundreds a month on apps I barely use??

Not a bad app, but as for the free version, I can do almost the same thing with other checklist apps, or even Apple Notes.

### 3/5 — Sharing of project

*2023-01-11, version 2.1.2*

I was hoping to share my ideas from device to device

### 3/5 — Great app with great potential

*2022-10-06*

I love the concept, but I think it can make it 10x better. If we can check off shots in our list like the built in notes app on IOS. I tried crossing off the shots I filmed so I can move on to the next shot but I couldn’t or maybe I’m missing something.

But you should make it easier to create a shot list and cross things off when done filming that specific shot.

### 4/5 — Give me an iPad version…then I’m all in

*2022-12-23, version 2.1.2*

I love this app, but I do most of my production tracking on my iPad. If I had an iPad version of this app in addition to the iPhone version, 5 stars.

### 4/5 — Nicely structured

*2022-10-14, version 2.1.1*

I used to use notes before to keep a track of my shots and planning but this app has been a saviour and it’s easy to use and keeps me updated on pending things

### 4/5 — Shared functionality

*2022-09-19, version 2.1.1*

PLEASE include the ability to share and update projects. Username based. Go further!!

### 4/5 — No swiping from picture to picture in mood board

*2022-09-09, version 2.1.1*

New app that’s gonna be great but definitely has some things that need to be added. Like being able to swipe thru pictures on the mood board. Rather than exiting out of one and going to the next.

No doubt the creators are gonna update this!

### 4/5 — Amazing app!!

*2022-09-07, version 2.1.1*

This app is what I’ve been looking for to help organize all my shots in on place! I love how you can add a gear checklist because I can be scatterbrained at times and forget stuff😅. Only thing I would tweak is to let people add more gear without the subscription. 10 items can be limiting for a photographer or Vidographer.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-05-25, version 2.2*

Helpful app with a beautiful ui for a small app. One feature request is to separate the notes and the title when you are in the edit shot menu.

### 5/5 — The Ultimate Organization Tool

*2023-03-22, version 2.2*

I’ve used this tool for less than 48 hours and I’m so grateful to have access to organize my shots. This makes my teams look legit in front of my clients and perform with ease amongst themselves.

### 5/5 — Love It!

*2023-03-07, version 2.2*

Super handy app. Way more convenient than the 3,000 notes I had on my phone 😄

### 5/5 — Suggest

*2023-02-25, version 2.1.2*

Is posible send the project to the crew? To another devices?

### 5/5 — Best way to be organised

*2023-01-24, version 2.1.2*

I’m a photographer and This is one of the best organisation app that I use for most of my shoots

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2022-12-28, version 2.1.2*

I love everything about this app. Helps organize thoughts, and ideas! And organize those in a shortlist, and eventually execute the shoot. I love how easy it is to use it, I love the mood boards, I loved everything about it! The only thing I would love for it to have that does not have is iCloud sync so that I can switch from iPhone to iPad if need to-- that would be awesome! Other than that, this app is amazing!

### 5/5 — Great For Anyone Looking to Stay Organize

*2022-10-16, version 2.1.1*

Great app for any filmmaker trying to stay organized. It’s a great way to be professional on the go.

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2022-09-19, version 2.1.1*

Love the app, would be cool to incorporate something to write a script!

### 5/5 — Simple app but organised

*2022-09-14, version 2.1.1*

This tool is AMAZING for organising work while keeping the programme straightforward. Thankyou!! It simplifies my life. Really recommend

### 5/5 — A Creative Necessity

*2022-09-07*

I was just watching the Apple event thinking “they really need to start adding some productivity features for photographers / videographers” and coming across Shotlists - my prayers have been answered! From gear documentation to project management, this is exactly what I was looking for to help my creative business stay organized and to keep me prepared for every gig. Shotlists is intuitive, clean, simple and effective. I’m more than excited to see how much my workflow improves!
