With the newest version, I no longer feel like I am sacrificing the browsing experience for accountability. It’s quick, easy to use, and gets regular updates. The user interface is really nice and it works very smoothly. It did take a little bit to get used to, coming from the default Safari app, since some functions are located in different places to Safari but it doesn’t take long to get up to speed and I’ve not looked back since. It’s a big improvement over the old one now that I can sync my bookmarks between devices. Also the tab layout has improved a lot. Another thing I like is that the browser also supports downloading files which is super helpful. Overall my partners have been very happy with the weekly logs. I recommend this browser to anyone looking for accountability on iPhone. ### 5/5 — Most recent update improved to 5 star *2023-02-14* I like the overall application although I do not see the accountability reports my partners get them and feel they are complete. My only issue originally was that links would not work but the recent update resolved this. I fell the response times are good and like that I can work on my phone or iPad. ### 5/5 — Great Update *2023-02-14* My biggest issues with the old browser have been resolved. Integration with the iPhone passwords No more “outdated browser” warnings on my sites (especially my Microsoft ones from work). And the ability to clear all tabs in one click. Thanks for the hard work, I am definitely recommending the upgrade. One thing that is not a deal breaker at all but I like to pay the whole year at once to save a few $$. I’d gladly commit to a year for a $39 ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Disappointed. *2024-06-20* Was hoping for this app to block all images. I checked and confirmed it was on “disable all images and media” to show strictly text no images. So I test it- type in search “bikinis” and instantly all bikinis. It doesn’t work. If you could test it out and update your review that would be awesome! ### 1/5 — Do not buy *2023-11-13* Cannot cancel subscription if downloaded. Do not purchase this!!! **Developer response:** You can easily cancel within iCloud settings ### 3/5 — No customer support *2025-01-16* I like a lot about what this app does, but when I reached out to the developer about a year ago, with a question and concern, I got no response. Then three months ago, my weekly report stopped getting emailed to my partners. I didn’t realize it until a few weeks ago. So I reached out to the support email provided and have heard nothing back on that as well. I know there have been a number of updates to the application and I have been excited to see all of them. I also love that this browser limits access to certain things, which is excellent for people who have struggled. I also enjoy how quickly the developer responds to requests and questions. I highly recommend it. ### 5/5 — Using AI for good *2026-01-03* Lion Browser uses AI to detect explicit images on websites. When it detects something it flags that website and adds it to a weekly log that it sends to parents or partners. It’s the best app to teach teens how to be responsible online. Also I love that it has a whitelist because my younger kids can use it then. Only the websites I approve can be visited.
