I’m so disappointed in this Pennsylvania train.  The remote is so buggy and this firmware app does not work.  The app is just a blank screen with no words.

Amazing train but the app doesn't work at all, I'm sitting right beside the train and remote and the app can't find it, trying for days now.  Following directions with no luck.   It's the Polar Express #1225.

I figured it out! If your screen is blank, hold your finger on the white part on the screen. There should then be a word in the blue spot. Expand the blue part and then you can see the words. Then just follow the instructions

App works like it should. Updated the remote. Like others have said, it originally had the blank white screen in the app, and finally after switching the iPhone from the dark theme to light, the words showed up.  If you’re having the white screen/box issue in the app, try changing the theme on your phone.

After reading many reviews on this app, it came to my attention that users  are attempting to use it on a Lionchief Bluetooth remote. That is not what it was designed for. It was designed for the Lionel CAB and CAB 1 remote control systems. It is not designed for lionchief Bluetooth remote controls. Lionel CAB and CAB 1 is an amazing (at the time state-of-the-art) walk around remote control system that let the user control virtually any train (that was compatible) or any accessory (that was compatible) so on and so forth.  This upgrade is exactly what I needed.  I am so happy I came across it. It gave new life to my cab 1 outfit.
