I’ve tried a couple of casual recordings of myself just this morning after being granted access on the waitlist. It seems to only translate simply one second of recording for the 20 seconds I recorded. I’m confused now. Perhaps 🤔 anyone experience the same problem??? ### 2/5 — Cool concept, terrible execution *2023-10-13* I’ve been on “the waiting list” for over a week. Imagine being in another country, lost, needing help…. Well just you hold on. I’m already gambling with my personal information on using apple and google, why I will give it to another party? The day you allow me to create an account that is not linked up to my personal email account because you demand it, that day and only that day I will use your app. ### 1/5 — Not there yet! *2023-11-14* The first thing I noticed is that when I record a video in English, it adds/retains my American accent to the other languages. For example, my French pronunciation sounds very midwesterner and not at all Parisian. Moreover, on some of the results, I sounded French Canadian. A simple test of counting in Persian from 1-5 got the number three wrong! The pronunciation sounds like Urdu, or Pashtun and definitely not modern Tehrani Persian - where did you source the language? Dutch, takes the “KH” sound and makes it “SH”… ### 1/5 — Long wait and doesn’t work *2023-10-21* You get out on a week to two week waiting list and once you get notified that it’s ready, the app doesn’t work. It tells you that there’s a server issue and never works. This is the weirdest app I’ve ever tried using. I’ve never had to get out on a waiting list. 😒 ### 1/5 — Not practical in the school setting *2023-10-16* This app is slow to translate and cannot be used for any real applications within the professional setting. It took over two minutes to translate into Spanish. It is easier to use Google translate and mess up the translation rather than wait endlessly on this app. ### 1/5 — Unable to register with another email address *2023-10-13* I signed up for this app, was put on the waiting list, and finally got to download the app. I unfortunately used the wrong email address to register with the app and as can result, I was put on a NEW waiting list. The translate is wrong. The voice over isn’t even close. And the “AI” is so off it’s ridiculous. It sounded exactly like him and his lips were moving too, but he doesn't speak Japanese. Found out that it was lipdub and can't believe this technology exists or that this app is free. Insane! ### 5/5 — Absolutely amazing! The real deal! *2023-10-27* I rarely leave five star reviews, but this app completely deserves it. Lip-syncing and AI mouth motions are extremely realistic and some of the best I’ve seen. Processing time is only a minute or so for a 15-second clip, which is impressive. I have found that it translates really well on the first take but you can also regenerate translations in case you weren’t happy with previous attempts. The gen-z and baby translations are absolutely hilarious. I’m so happy with this app and plan on using it on a regular basis. ### 5/5 — tried the Tagalog option *2023-10-13* I tried the Tagalog option and checked it with my mom and she said it was saying something about bananas and a girl friend which was funnier than the thing I was actually saying.
