I find this ap a good segway into reinforcing my Spanish through this method. However, it has a couple bugs that need to be addressed. It always freezes when I get a microphone added to my collection. If I open and close the ap, the microphone disappears from my collection when I go to check. Not a super big deal, an otherwise cool ap to use to reinforce grammar! ### 3/5 — More languages *2023-09-28, version 5.9* There’s a lot Breton language, Gaelic, Russian, and norse songs out there. Breton is dying out needs to be spoken again, it’s fun to know Gaelic, there’s a lot YouTubers who listen to the Russian songs and vibe with it (not gonna lie I vibe too) and the last one I know are hard to find but they’re some artists bringing it back ( and it would be fun to cosplay a lore accurate Viking) ### 3/5 — Love it BUT *2023-09-26, version 5.9* Super cool but also super limited on what languages are offered. ### 4/5 — Great app…however *2023-08-13* Great app!!! I do wish though that you’d update/add newer songs, and I super-wish you had (Brazilian ) Portuguese. You promote “Latin artists” but only have Spanish as there are more languages in Latin America…. Esp when one of THE hottest Latina artists right now is Brazilian… plus it seems the popularity of learning Brazilian is increasing, I think you’d benefit greatly and I know I’d pay for that! I’ve been using it for 2 months, but it shows every level is only 85% done. I don’t know if this is a glitch, or if I am missing something. I’ve done every section that I can find. The app told me I completed the level, and gave me a “microphone” trophy, yet no microphones show up in my awards box, and the level shows itself as incomplete. Unfortunately, no one is responding to my email for help. It is everything I could ask for and more, the clever use of the frequency words (mwah! already clearly well researched) and the integration of grammar makes my Spanish learning so much easier: I wasn’t wanting to do a proper grammar course but the proper rules integrated seamlessly have been so helpful. The team which built it is disbanded according to their LinkedIn profiles and the app is no longer being updated. It is simply being left as is to be milked as a cash cow, even though post IOS updates, it doesn’t work well anymore. Disappointing! ### 1/5 — Hard to use *2024-05-23, version 6.1* So many bugs. I deleted it and reinstalled several times started researching more reviews and saw similar reviews. No responses to any emails about issues with the app and request for refund. Only 1 option shows, no way to scroll to get the other choices. After a few weeks the app just kept crashing after about 30 seconds. I reloaded the app but won’t now recognise my log in. I’ve contacted the help but no reply recieved. Sorry to write this review when it’s working it’s a really fun app ### 2/5 — They try to STEAL your money!! *2022-11-02* Before my trial was up, Lirica said they would charge the ANNUAL subscription price if I didn’t cancel before the week was up. Then they gave me the run around to cancel it. They say you have to do it through iTunes. Except iTunes doesn’t handle cancelations any more! After trying every which way to cancel it, I eventually had to contact Apple. Lirica refunded me the money, but they’re still keeping THE WRONG INFORMATION in their app. I give them two stars for refunding my money, but I’m keeping it there until they STOP STEALING PEOPLE’S MONEY by charging them before the trial is up, and for not providing the correct information on how to cancel your subscription. **Developer response:** Hi there - sorry to hear about your frustration with the subscription - our process is the same as all other apps and you can cancel your trial before payment is taken by going to your Apple ID and then the “subscriptions” tab. Such a great way to learn vocab as it’s used naturally. The one thing that would be a great improvement would be if the Vocab Challenge that’s in the first two songs was in every song. It would be really nice to be able to go back to songs you’ve already done and do the challenge as a refresher/review. This was actually the feature that made me decide to pay to unlock more songs, so it’s a shame that it stops after the free ones. I still enjoy the app even without it, but would love it if it was added. It inspired me to make Latin music, but it would be more better if they didn’t have the songs locked cuz those are THE BEST SONGS Some of them were in my childhood Because my mom used to play them in her car, but it would be much fun if they add bachata, Merengue, and dembow songs and the most Latin popular artists like Romeo santos, bad bunny, Marc Anthony Etc.
