### 3/5 — One terrible thing

*2021-06-12, version 3.1.5*

This has been my go-to, never-fail, favorite list app since my first iPhone in 2009. But now I have an Android and this app isn’t available there. So I can only use this on my iPad. Why, dev team, why?

### 4/5 — Hate Dark Mode

*2021-03-15*

Love this app but hate the dark mode. Having trouble figuring out how to change it back to the original way, so I can read my comments/notes under certain items.

### 5/5 — Great Tool!!

*2019-10-08, version 3.0.11*

I’ve been using this app since 2011 at least. Almost 10years! Use for groceries and cabin lists mainly. Very powerful. Like Excel for lists. Not glitchy. Can take a while to figure out all the features (like Excel) but once you’re on it it’s awesome

### 5/5 — Best Lists/Grocery App on the App Store!

*2019-06-27, version 3.0.11*

I’ve tried a bunch and this is the best. The developer has done a great job and make an app that delivers. Great features and very customisable!

### 5/5 — Most customizable list app out there

*2018-07-28, version 3.0.11*

I have been using this app for a few years now & it is simply the best. So many features & very easy to use & when I had a problem it was resolved. I have no hesitation in recommending Listomni.

### 5/5 — It’s so easy to use!

*2018-05-02*

I don’t like having tons of apps on my iPhone and this app keeps multiple lists as well as ToDo’s with reminder. My notes don’t disappear like they do on my IPhone Notes. It is easy to use and I can put everything in one app! Love it!

### 5/5 — 1 App on my phone

*2018-04-11*

This was the first app I paid money for when I got my first iPhone, and it has more than paid for itself over the years. Apps come and go but this one has been rock-a solid, reliable companion for almost 10 years.

### 5/5 — Best Ever

*2018-03-17*

This is the best list app ever! It is extremely versatile. I have been using it for quite sometime and should have written this review months ago.

### 4/5 — Pretty useful for structuring lists

*2018-01-22*

This standalone app is pretty good for creating lists. It has templates. It even can auto-populate fields for certain kinds of lists.

### 2/5 — Not intuitive

*2018-01-05*

I deal with anxiety and bipolar disorder, and a major way I deal with these things is by making lists, as they help me to focus, and see progress. My old, perfect, list app stopped being functional within the past year or so due to iOS updates. This app looked promising, I think I even paid for it, but when I tried to start planning for an upcoming vacation, I discovered there were functionality issues, namely, it is practically impossible to create lists within lists. I did it once, but I’ll be damned if I could figure how I did it and do it again. 🙄 Amazingly, the Notes feels more functional than this app.

### 5/5 — Absolute best list app available!!

*2017-10-07*

This is by far the most useful app I have. I LOVE that I can schedule certain food ‘staples’ to get automatically added to my shopping list every week. And because the cost of the items is saved, I know approximately how much I will be spending before I leave the house. This alone is worth the price. And that doesn’t even touch on the many other types of lists you can create.

I do wish that the lists would sync over all my devices. I also wish there was a way to tie food I have on hand with what I need to buy so I don’t get stuff I already have, but even without those features, the app deserves 5 stars.

I would highly recommend to the developer to do whatever is necessary to make the app visible to the App Store because if I didn’t already know the app name, I would never have found it just by searching for shopping list apps or list apps.

### 5/5 — The Swiss Army Knife of list apps

*2017-09-02, version 3.0.8*

[My original review back in 2010]: I love this app! I purchased it a few months ago and I continue to use it on a regular (almost daily) basis. It is highly customizable and jam-packed with functionality. The interface is well thought out. For me, this is the definitive list app. Kudos to the developer(s)!

[Update 09/02/2017]: Well, after seven years I still use this app regularly. Among a great many other things, It's an excellent pre-travel packing checklist. I haven't left anything behind in years (ha-ha). I've simply found nothing else that even approaches the eloquence and functionality of List Omni Lists. After several years of dormancy, I was thrilled when the developers started regular updates again. I'm especially impressed that I didn't have to re-purchase due to the app being re-released as version 2 or Pro or Ultra, i.e., developer greed. Truly phenomenal! By the way, it's easy to synchronize lists across devices: just export/backup your lists, send them via email and import/restore the exported file on the target device - simple and quick.

### 4/5 — Just Short of 100% Impressed

*2017-06-23*

This is the best todo list out there! My only complaint is that you cannot prioritize the tasks (red, green, orange, yellow). Add color coding to the tasks for HOT-immediate, high, medium, low, etc.

Update (Jun 2017):: This app continues to be one of my favorite and I use it frequently. My problem now is that I can't figure out how to get my lists to sync on all of my devices. I don't like having sep lists on each device. I have MANY on my phone but they do not sync via the cloud. Please help if I am missing it.

### 5/5 — My favorite grocery app

*2017-05-15*

I've gone through several grocery list apps and none of them were is clear and easy to sort through as this one. I highly recommend this one.

### 5/5 — Love app except not able to add a picture with latest update.

*2017-04-11, version 3.0.6*

I have loved this app and used it for several years. . . on my iPhone 3 and iPhone 4S. I recently switched to the iPhone SE but I am not able to take a photo while the app is opened. When I select "take a photo" the app closes. The only way I can add a photo to an item in my list is take a photo, store in my photo library on the iPhone and then "choose from library" to add the picture to the item in the list. Please fix this issue. This problem only began with the most recent update (about 2 weeks ago).

### 2/5 — Camera

*2017-01-05, version 3.0.6*

I would have gave this app a 4 star rating, but since the latest update this month every time I try to take a picture to add in my grocery list my app shuts down. That was one of my favorite features on this app.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2017-01-04, version 3.0.6*

I use this app every day.
Thanks for the update! It now looks great on my larger iPhone.

I use Listomni mostly for my grocery list. I also use it for packing lists, holiday lists and task lists. I like how configurable it is, so I can use it how I want.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Hard to impossible to get help

*2018-09-18*

Used to love this app, but now all p items in grocery list will not display. Gum ball labs site useless, Facebook useless. So disappointed.

### 1/5 — Dead app

*2018-06-03, version 3.0.11*

Hi all. Tried to contact the (new) owners of this app, but none of their emails work: tried "support" and "contact" email addresses, but emails are being rejected with the msg "No such email address".

I'll bet they still accept payments, though!

Don't waste your money!

### 1/5 — Not working correctly

*2017-01-29, version 3.0.6*

Loved this app, but since the last update when I'm adding something to a certain category it will automatically switch categories when I go to hit done. If you're not paying attention it ends up in the wrong place. Please fix this issue.

### 1/5 — No updates in ages

*2016-12-01, version 2.7.5*

Was one of the best list app out there, they just stop updating the app.

### 1/5 — Puzzled

*2015-03-04, version 2.7.5*

I've had this app since my first iPhone 3, and recommended it highly. Unfortunately lately it is beyond frustrating and I am looking for a new grocery app.

### 1/5 — Loved it until lost all of my data.

*2012-10-07, version 2.7.2*

My title is the review. Input data for almost 100 videos. Upgraded phones 3g->4g, and lost everything.
Looking for a new app.

### 1/5 — Ruined by update

*2011-06-30, version 2.6.0*

Many features removed for no apparent reason. Cannot now use this primarily as grocery list as I have done now for several years.

### 1/5 — keep looking

*2010-09-10, version 0*

It seems very "convenient" that this app went from a solid three star rating to ALL five star ratings in a very short period of time & without any major improvements....????

Original review: I never delete apps that I have paid $$ for. This is the first. First of all, it is extremely complicated and not intuitive - even after I read thru the help file twice. This is saying something considering I was able to figure out how to use OmniFocus. Second, the app description states that you can email yourself lists back and forth. I thought this would be a great way to use my PC to input data. No can do; it emails non-man-readable attachments. I cannot recommend highly enough to stay away from this 6.99 app.

### 1/5 — Another List Failure

*2009-12-22, version 0*

All this time and still no list app that will sync with Outlook. Of course nobody uses Outlook, so why bother. This app will backup via email. But watch out if you use Outlook for your email! Once off the server you cannot retrieve the backup by forewarding from Outlook. It corrupts the file. This app makes a simple task incredibly complicated. I got a migrain just looking at it when I first bought it. Had to reset my iPhone due to a cover-flow issue. When it would not restore any of my saved backups in Outlook and I was faced with a 2 hour reconfiguration of this abysmal, overcomplicated app, I deleted it instead. I feel so much better now. Now I will look for a list app that comes with a free hotdog maker.

### 1/5 — Expensive confusion

*2009-12-15, version 0*

Bought and deleted same day - overly complicated and far too expensive! Cab I have my money back please??

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Still best ever!!

*2025-12-31*

Oh how I wish you could just sell this to Apple or Microsoft so it could be updated so we don’t have to worry about losing it and all of our lists!!

### 5/5 — GREAT, but…

*2025-12-01*

like others, I have been using List Omni for years. it offers a wide variety of lists, it’s flexible, is customizable and exportable. BUT it doesn’t work seamlessly between my iPhone and my iPad, and it’s not even available for my MacBook Pro. Your last update was three years ago. I would be willing to pay for an update that worked seamlessly between my three devices. what would be standing in the way?

### 5/5 — It’s great

*2025-11-03*

I’ve been using this app for over 15 years and love it. I’ve tried other grocery apps, and they just are not as good at categorizing, prompting with choices after the first letter or two, and making it easy to set up separate list.

### 5/5 — Not just the best grocery app

*2025-06-10*

I have been using this app for the last twelve years after trying out every grocery app out there and finding them wanting. It’s power is both in how you can customize to your own shopping needs and how streamlined and elegant the interface is once you take a little time to get used to it. I can’t believe how few reviews there are of this app - my guess is that people are put off by the learning curve when you start using it. Trust me it is worth trying it out - this is not just the best designed grocery app, but one of the best designed apps on my phone, period.

### 5/5 — Can’t do without this app!

*2023-12-06*

I use it for groceries, inventory, general shopping, even my repertoire of Irish trad tunes! I love that I can sort each list by any of the fields. For instance, groceries by category (tip: use this field for your favorite store’s aisle number to streamline your shopping). You can be creative and reassign fixed fields to whatever you actually need. I’ve used this app for years and always find new things to do with it.

### 5/5 — The BEST list app!

*2022-12-27*

I have used this app for so many years, I lost track. There are so many ways to personalize & categorize everything, I don’t ever want to lose the large volume of information I have stored in it. I depend on it to keep so many aspects of my life organized. I just saw this update and will try it, because I couldn’t find an update a few years ago. Please keep it going! I need my info! :-)

### 5/5 — Simply Remarkable

*2022-05-26, version 3.1.6*

Update 3/17/21:
Grateful for this recent update with Dark Mode fixes, and also the Appearance options (Device Default, Light Mode, Dark Mode) under App Settings > Screen Settings. Like another reviewer, I didn't like Dark Mode for this particular app, so I just disabled it system-wide, until this update 👍

There were a couple other bugs that appeared with Dark Mode support, but none that couldn't be resolved by closing and relaunching the app (possibly resolved with this update?) Also, the calendar date selector for Tasks looks a little odd, as if it’s a little high or covers the Tab Bar, at least on this iPhone 6s with current iOS version. Again… very minor.

Update 9/29/20:
Still the gold standard app for all sorts of lists, even with a few bugs here and there, and even without notifications support (other than the app badge). With a lot of apps now moving to an annual paid subscription to support continued maintenance and further development, I certainly wouldn't hesitate to subscribe. I seem to recall spending around $7 for this app over a decade ago.

General Review:
This is clearly the best-designed, most-versatile, and most-powerful of all the shopping list/todo/task list apps I've tried (and I've tried quite a few—at least 15 to 20 anyway). It's almost sort of comparable to a basic, mini, mobile relational database application, while still being very intuitive and easy to use; yet lists can be set up with various, more-complex features, etc., if desired.

### 5/5 — One of my most used apps

*2022-05-25*

I’ve had this app for many years and have had no issues using it. VERY happy with its functionality. Glad to see it still is getting updated!!

### 5/5 — Great Update

*2021-04-04, version 3.1.5*

Been using this app for a long while but stopped using it when I changed my phone as it did not fit the screen, I am now pleased with this update as it fits and works great on my iPhone 11.
The only thing missing is a watch app with a complication and there's no point contacting the developer as they don't answer emails, I know as I've tried

### 5/5 — Yay! An update!

*2021-03-04, version 3.1.3*

Been using this app for YEARS & love it. I have so many lists in there. Was worried there hasn’t been any updates & it might become obsolete so I’ve been testing many other list apps. They just don’t compare. (Sigh of relief!) Thanks for this & looking forward to using JUST this app again for my list obsession! 🙌🏼
