It’s on a specific page whose icon does not resemble or remind one of a magnifying glass. Search action doesn’t have a loading icon. Is it doing anything for 15-30 seconds? Doesn’t look like it, until surprise! Meanwhile I was trying to focus on life and got distracted thinking it wasn’t loading. The main reason for this is to facilitate minimal distraction. When looking through the episode list of a podcast, the release date of each episode is not displayed. Have to go into each episode to check that. Other apps show the date. This app has a lot of promise. Heck it even has no in-app purchases either, but it’s not as popular as other options. So, of course it’s gonna be a bit laggy. Please fix it though ### 3/5 — Maybe a replacement for Google Podcasts? *2024-01-24* Although this app seems to be stable and free of annoyance-ware ads for premium features, it failed to import an export of my subscriptions from the Google podcasts app. Other apps had no problem with the same import file. I want to know how many podcasts have been downloaded I want to be able to specify how many podcasts download for each podcast show I want to be able to configure the tabs to show what I want to see. At first pass, the Listen App might be my new podcast player. My only request involves the episode list view. I am lost without readily visible episode dates. If you replace “See details” with the episode date, the click for additional details sentiment might come intuitively. Thank you! ### 4/5 — Doesn't work with Airpods *2021-08-23, version 2.2.2* This is the perfect podcast app, with one exception - it doesn't work with Airpods. When using Airpods, if you're listening to a podcast and, say, walking directions, when the podcast app is interrupted, it just stops the audio. Otherwise, I love this app! It has a simple, sleek interface that's easier to use and less noisey than most other podcast apps. If you fix this bug, you've got a five-star app! **Developer response:** Thank you for reporting this! This app not only has a fantastic interface and has all the important features, but it also has live social-audio events that are like live podcasts. It works well, but is difficult to maneuver and has no access to any kind of Help documentation. Have to log in every time I open it. It never remembers what podcast it played last, or even which podcasts it has ever played. Don’t even ask it to remember the last position on an old episode. It keeps playing the next oldest podcast episode in my sub feed. Doesn’t stay on the same podcast. Doesn’t just just stop playing. There is no way to define what plays next. No queue. Kindergarten ### 1/5 — WTH? *2022-03-31, version 2.6.7* I liked this app then you forced me to an update that has no search feature so I can’t find the podcasts I want. How can you have no search? ### 1/5 — Awful *2021-11-15, version 2.5.1* constantly either freezes, crashes, or opens to a blank white page. after the latest update it doesn’t even open ### 1/5 — Why do you need my phone number to even look at your stinking app? *2021-06-10, version 2.1.8* Didn't even get to open it to try it out. How do apps get a 4+ rating when you need contact info to use it? 18+ should be required. **Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. We went ahead and rebuilt the application to no longer require accounts to use the player! You only need an account to participate in live events. New app forces you to provide a phone number to make an account. Why does a podcast app need my phone number? Please list one legitimate reason. Immediately deleted the new app. If the old one stops working, will find a different developer. **Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. The community stuff is awkward and unhelpful and the normal player experience is lost because all of the other features that don’t work ### 1/5 — Can’t create a login *2020-12-12, version 1.5.6* I have been using the original app for only a short time. I recently received a message regarding the new app created to replace said app. I followed the link and downloaded the new app, but after going through all the steps to set up a login I received a message saying something went wrong and to please try again later. I waited a few hours and tried again to the same results. I’ve now tried at least a dozen times, but still can’t use the new app. ### 1/5 — Cannot delete individual podcasts *2020-11-19, version 1.5.5* Although the app has a setting to auto delete podcasts after listening, it is frustrating that you cannot just pick and chose which podcasts to delete. Sometimes if there is a particularly good podcast, I might want to save it to listen to it again but that is not possible because the only way to delete any podcasts is to delete all podcasts. Very frustrating. Live events allows you to have multiple speakers and audience members together with the option for anyone, including the audience, to raise their hand and chime in on a conversation or ask a question, the host decides who talks. I love this format and it’s very useful in a professional or casual setting.
