Listen is an auditory training game produced by the University of California Riverside (UCR) Brain Game Center for Mental Fitness and Well-being; A research unit focused on brain fitness methods and applications. Listen integrates principles of perceptual learning and auditory neuroscience in a reward-based game framework that reinforces program adherence and maintains training efficacy. It lacks some instructions for personal use. I found that turning the volume up all the way, and using headphones (placing in the correct ears) works great. This is a well thought out app and I hope to see progress for my child. ### 1/5 — Couldn’t get past request for a server code *2023-03-08* What is a server code? Seems like it might be for designed for some U of C research study, but this should have been mentioned in the description that is is not for general use. ### 1/5 — Very hard to hear *2022-11-08, version 2.2.6* Tried this app on iPhone and iPad. I could barely hear the sounds, much less distinguish where they were coming from. Also the option to manually adjust difficulty levels would be nice. As a speech-language therapist I suspect the starting level will be too difficult for many. Children and adults need affordable options to help ameliorate auditory processing problems.
