I’ve had to close out of the app and go back in after each song which defeats the purpose of letting our son watch while we’re driving home close to nap or bedtime. Being able to download the songs for usage with no service would be extremely helpful and maybe fix the other issue of going black after each song/video. Super frustrating that I paid for a year and it’s more a hassle to use than YouTube— minus all the ridiculous ads on there. ### 3/5 — Good content, but the app is glitchy *2025-01-15, version 1.3.4* I really like the Listener Kids videos, and so does my 2 year old. The videos are well done for the most part, but the app needs some work. I find myself going to YouTube a lot just to be able to watch the videos. My kid can navigate the app very well, but I’m constantly having to close the app out and restart it because the videos won’t play. The videos either won’t play, or the load times are really long and the videos constantly buffer. It doesn’t seem to make much difference whether my phone is on WiFi or cellular data. ### 3/5 — Music stops *2024-10-05, version 1.3.4* I have this on an iphone and it takes a long to play the next song frequently ### 2/5 — Continuously kicks me off app after 2 songs.. *2023-10-23, version 1.3.3* I would give this 5 stars easily if it allowed me to listen for more than 2 songs without losing sound on my phone and needing to close and reopen to regain full function for only 2 songs again. When I AirPlay to my AppleTV only 2 songs play then it kicks my phone off of AirPlay. The animation, kids voices and messages are all fantastic, just frustrating to only get 2 songs at a time… I paid for the 1 year subscription but am currently disappointed with the functionality. Hoping it’s a glitch that can be fixed with an update. 🙏🏼 We need more of this for our kiddos. Wish I was able to download the App to my AppleTV and enjoy it without worrying about AirPlay. Update: I have an iPhone 11 iOS 17.0.3 Apple TV HD tvOS 17.0 If I was able to add the app to my AppleTV and have continuous streaming as well that would be fantastic! I have tried updating the app, shutting out of it, and restarting my device. Sometimes it won’t open for days. They are my favourite part! I thinks it’s so important to introduce children to scripture and the way you guys did it was so great! Only complaint is there is no way a young child can learn to sing along with most of the songs. For example my 2 yo can sing every coco melon song because the pronunciation is so clear. There are some songs here I cant even understand the words in the lyrics because pronunciation isn’t great mostly due to the “pop” genre style slurring out words. But features on video are definitely engaging for the little ones ### 4/5 — Could be better *2023-05-10, version 1.3* The only thing I dislike is that I’m not able to stream this from my phone to my tv. Samsung tv doesn’t have this app so I bought it thinking I could stream it from my phone to the tv and found out later that I am unable to do that. But clearly your acne needs work. ### 1/5 — Feels More Like a Cash Grab Than a sharing the Word *2025-10-24* I really wanted to love Listene Kids because they make fun Christian songs for little ones, and the music itself is great. But I was disappointed to see how often ads are placed throughout their videos — basically after every short song. When a 45-minute kids’ worship video has an ad every few minutes, it feels more like a money grab than ministry. I understand that creators need to earn revenue, but there’s a big difference between using ads wisely and constantly interrupting worship or learning time for profit. I’d love to see them focus more on the message and less on the monetization. Kids deserve to experience Jesus without being sold something every few minutes. **Developer response:** Hello! There are zero ads in the app you are reviewing. She knows all the words and the verses now, at 3 years old. We first started watching it on YouTube, then started buying DVDs, and just recently downloaded the app. I love that she now has access to all the songs! There are two issues that need fixing. 1) They need to add the title of the songs able the tiles. This is for the parent, not for the kid. She will come to me bc she has tried finding a certain song, and I have a hard time finding it as well. 2) It freezes during a song. Gets stuck on loading a song. Or the sound just turns off during a song.
