My hearing is poor and this really helps for the speaking parts of a Broadway show. It wouldn’t connect even though I had it set up correctly. When it works, it is very helpful as I have a serious hearing loss. I do sometimes have issues with it dropping out, which occurred most recently when I updated my iPhone's operating system. I deleted the app and redownloaded it and that seemed to make it more reliable. My biggest issue is that the sound only comes to one of my hearing aides. The app would be so much more helpful if I could receive the sound in both ears. ### 4/5 — We love the clean sound *2023-01-14, version 4.1.1* This is a terrific program. It’s great for those with hearing aids. Such clean and clear sound. And also for anyone with headphones on their phone. The only concern is that several times during the service, there will be a blip and the sound falls back perhaps half a second behind ambient. That is very distracting if you also hear ambient sound. Eventually it gets back to normal until the next blip. Standard latency is slight and doesn’t distract much. That is when, while once again, trying hearing assist during the church service, he really appreciated for the first time his connection to the sound of hearing assist. We have both have been really annoyed with his loss of hearing with his aids missing. That slight echo he had, unlike the hearing aid, was annoying him. Once you accept that, and appreciate the clear sound, you can really appreciate what your hearing aid can’t quite do. This makes using a radio impossible. Unfortunately, you cannot use this app. Well, if you’re using your phone with the accessibility mode turned on. The first couple of times I used it, I got an echo that was very distracting. This Sunday, I decided to give it another try and it worked beautifully through my hearing aids. The improvement over the auditorium speakers was dramatic. No extra equipment on the part of the listener (except the app + smartphone) is a big plus. The quality of the Wi-Fi broadcast was very good. The only reason it did not get a 5 star rating is that there is a noticeable delay. Usually that is not a problem but sometimes is enough to require muting the direct sound path in some way to reduce the obnoxious echo effect. I’ve been told that this is affected by network traffic and is fixable.
